Friday, April 25, 2014. Horse Races and Easter Fun. Easter weekend has long passed, but I kind of want to document it because the kids loved it (and so did I). The evening before, we joined Dianna’s family at the Sam Houston Race Track for $1 Night. Admittance was $1, hot dogs were $1, sodas were $1, and the little petting zoo was free! Monday, April 21, 2014. Rollerskating and Partying Potter-style. I am way behind in blogging because I am still recuperating from the three birthday parties I hosted just...

Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Sunday Best: The past two weeks. While I am playing catch up, here are my Sunday Best pics from the past two Sundays. I love how last Sunday Sam was too busy eating stolen crackers from the pantry to pose, but he still made sure to get in the picture. MLK Day at the Texas Battleship. Some moments that have made me smile. Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Welcome to the New Year. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sunday Best: The past two weeks. MLK Day at the Texas Battleship.

Saturday, May 31, 2014. A lesson on genetics. And I got a 100 on the Math benchmark, too! Apparently, Ellie's teacher took her to tell the principal her good news and the principal wanted to call home, but Ellie came up with the great idea of pretending she was in trouble. When I heard the story, I asked Ellie why they called her dad and not me and she was all, "Because Dad teaches math so that is obviously where I got it from." I beg your pardon? Labels: not for the blog book. Saturday, May 17, 2014.

Pieces of Me: More stellar parenting
http://allellie.blogspot.com/2015/04/more-stellar-parenting.html
Thursday, April 23, 2015. Anyway, we went to lunch and a matinee before getting the kids and it was awesome to just hang out together. Alright, alright, enough of that. I will probably be singing a different tune this evening when I am trying to wrangle Sam at Ellie and Jack's softball/t-ball practices. Screw the environment.I've got mouths to feed." Her quick reply was, "Happy Earth Day! Hahaha, I totally forgot that it was Earth Day, but loved the irony of it all. Labels: Parenting (or lack thereof).

Pieces of Me: August 2014
http://allellie.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Oh my gosh, the disappointment! Luckily, the Galleria has a Disney store and Lego store. Ellie picked out a stuffed Bambi and Jack got a Lego Movie Lego set. I was kind of getting sick of Build-a-Bear anyway. I am playing a bit of catch-up on the old blog today. We had a few "firsts" recently that I want to document. Monday was Ellie's first day of 3rd grade. I had a really cute outfit picked out for her, but she insisted on wearing her Harry Potter tee. Sunday, August 17, 2014.

Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Sisters (and mom) trip. Every other year we try to do a sisters and mom weekend (and by weekend, I mean 4 glorious, kid-free days). I am so blessed to have amazing sisters and sister-in-laws. We all seriously get along so well. I pretty much just laughed for four days straight. Here are just a few pics of the insanity:. We even went to church.because we are good girls. Despite the look on my face, I really did have fun playing Killer Bunnies. Just don't ask Jen how to pronounce it.

Pieces of Me: December 2014

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Happy birthday, Nana! The kids were up early Christmas morning as was expected. I made them wait on the stairs until I had the camera and video camera ready. Because, you know, it didn't happen if there is no documentation. By the end of the night, I noticed that Jack was feeling warm and the following day both Jack and Sam were running fevers. Despite all the illness, our holiday was relaxing and fun. I declare it a win. Monday, December 29, 2014. The flu and Christmas Eve.

Sunday, November 23, 2014. Sunday Best: Rogue Baby edition. Wednesday, November 19, 2014. So, you know how we have been a little worried about Sam not talking? Like, he only says a few words and does not string words together in a sentence. Well, Tom was bathing the boys tonight and Sam spoke his first sentence, "No play with peepee." Why couldn't it have been, "I love you, Mama"? Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Breathing treatments and a trophy. Monday, November 17, 2014. Sunday, November 16, 2014. Sam was ...
