Life as a Chug-a-Lugger. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Great day of running. Well when I got off work at 7am this morning I kinda hung out around the house for a little while. I finally went out about 10:3 oam. And got in 14 miles. The temp was ok. And I had no pains. I also had no cramps this afternoon which tells me my body is adjusting to the greater distance per week and per run. Houston Marathon is almost to the 600's for the transfers. Well, so much for sitting Hog's Hunt out! 160;Nevermind the fact that I was completely unprepared to run a 25K.I just said 'what the hell' and did it anyway. It actually started out really well. I felt great all the way to about mile 11 or 12, and then the heat and lack of water started to kick my butt. There was a 5 mile stretch between aid stations, and it was about 90 degrees outside! Umm, apparently 'used to be a strong swimmer' doesn't translate into 'still a strong swimmer'. I don't remember swimming being that danged hard! 160;So, FM 2989 is as far as I could go. So this morning I got up at 4am so I could head off to my work site. Stumbling around in the darkness I found my clothes, wallet and keys. I mixed up my Plexus Slim and took off out the door!
