Life at Forti
Sep 22, 2014. So, it happened. 40. the big 4-0. It came and went. It was a whirlwind of activity that has sadly died down. and I'm left with my thoughts. As the birthday was approaching I started looking back and, at first, all I could see was negative. I recall numerous times wanting to write this blog post yelling at my 20 and 30 year old self for all the things that went wrong. It was the biggest form of self-deprecation from someone who prides herself on staying positive. Was this 40? Apr 21, 2014.

Life @ 40 Acre Farm
Thursday, April 23, 2015. It Has Been Awhile. It has been awhile since I've posted here.over a year and a half. And to be honest I really haven't missed it. Life hasn't allowed me to miss it. Occasionally I click over to look at pictures or use a link in the margin but in all reality this blog has been set on the back-burner and the heat turned off due to necessity. Praying God's discernment, wisdom, guidance, and strength for our family so that we may honor Him, Julie. Saturday, September 28, 2013.

Life @ FP
Friday, 15 May 2015. There's only a few weeks in the spring that fiddleheads can be collected before they mature into the lush ferns on the forest floor. They curl up from the wet ground, above decaying leaves from the last fall. Once you know what to look for, they are easy to spot. Other ferns have a fuzzy, cotton-ball like covering, and those cannot be consumed! Freckles, our Australian Shepherd, and a small basket of just picked fiddleheads. Fiddleheads soaking in the sink. Drain them before blanching.

Life At Full Draw
Life At Full Draw. The Faces and Places Of Archery. Friday, October 12, 2012. Arizona Native And Archer. I noticed that I had a visitor from Cave Creek, Arizona lately. I know two things about Cave Creek, the first being it's a rough terrain but beautiful at the same time and the second thing is an archer named Randy Ulmer. Is it just a coincidence that my visitor landed on a post about an archery tournament. I was so impressed with his ability that I had to purchase his tuning video on vhs. When it ...

Life at Full Speed
Life at Full Speed. Sunday, April 17, 2011. This week has definitely been one of the most stressful weeks of the semester. I think there is some kind of teacher code that says last week of school-slam on all the projects, presentations, and papers possible. But it's okay! Because it is over and I survived. To top it all off, this has also been one of the most stressful social life/worst boy experiences weekends of the semester. It's Murphy's law. I've accepted it. Monday, April 11, 2011. Wrong The sun wa...
