Life At The Bottom: The best summer yet

http://lifeatthebottom.blogspot.com/2008/06/best-summer-yet.html

Life At The Bottom. Life in Antarctica and beyond. Monday, June 30, 2008. The best summer yet. I recently met a great group of women who are all active outdoors people too. We decided to start mountain biking together and it's been a blast! So lately our lives look like this: wake up between 7 and 8am (alarm clocks are only used when absolutely necessary), have a liesure coffee and breakfast on the couch, walk to our office which is 5 minutes from our house, get some work done, leave around 5pm.

Life At The Bottom. Life in Antarctica and beyond. Wednesday, April 16, 2008. April 15, 2008. I love the saying, "Wanna make God laugh.have a plan." So true it is! We've zigzagged and sometimes circled through all sorts of plans in the 5 years that we've been married, so why am I still surprised when we end up in a totally different place than I expected? We couldn't believe our luck! Small towns are interesting. We agreed on the word of the builder that we could have first dibs at buying the house s...

Homeless Heidi: April 2007

http://homelessheidi.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

I've been homeless since 2000, working and living in bush Alaska and spending most of the past 6 years in Antarctica. After 5 winters at Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, it's time to move on. I'm settling down in the Hudson Valley area of New York state in January with Michael, the love of my life who will feed me well for the rest of my life. Tuesday, April 17, 2007. Decorating for the winter. Who wants to look at blank walls and beige window shades all winter? Making lattes and cappucinos to order.

Life at the blunt end

Life at the blunt end. Friday, January 31, 2014. Classic 60's psychedelia fresh from the West Coast of Australia this week - no video, but a gorgeous tune. And a timely band name too. life at the bobbie house

Life at the bobbie house. Saturday, January 29, 2011. Remind me why i like old homes. A bit ago we had a 4 day weekend and bryan. Tanks became water logged and began to seep onto the floors. we are not talking inches, but enough to warrant reorganizing things, emptying. Damn ice dams. lots of snow, sunshine,...

Glimpses

Thursday, February 16, 2012. Law of Love- Part 2. Although the Law of Love is pretty straight forward, it gets a little trickier when thinking about it actually applying to parenting or family life. I spent a few months simply noticing my thought and behavior patterns as it related to my children, my husband, and the way I managed the house. This new awareness, of course, brought all kinds of frustration, as I saw the problem for what it was, but lacked the understanding or energy to solve it. When I ask...
