Tales of a Mountain Mama: October So Far
http://zarikailah.blogspot.com/2011/10/october-so-far.html
Saturday, October 15, 2011. Ezekiah did a cartwheel off our porch steps. Urijah decided to try his hand at photography. We had our first snowfall! Zarik and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary and actually got to go out to dinner (double amazing was that I found something I could eat on the elimination diet at our favorite restaurant, Danny's Corner Bistro. And we made our own cheese crackers. This is going to be a regular activity in our house for sure. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tales of a Mountain Mama: God is in Everything - Even Jury Duty
http://zarikailah.blogspot.com/2011/09/god-is-in-everything-even-jury-duty.html
Sunday, September 25, 2011. God is in Everything - Even Jury Duty. It kept my ADD hands nicely occupied! A nice lunch, and another hour or so, I was put up in the jury box. The only way I can account for all of our hesitation and unity is the Holy Spirit. This whole experience proved to me once again something I should know without hesitation by now: God is in EVERYTHING - even Jury Duty. Hint: it's the bottom one. This was a great post to read! Thank you for sharing it! Tue Sep 27, 05:36:00 AM 2011.

Lovebug and Princess: December 2009
http://lovebugandprincess.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 31, 2009. A couple of random thoughts to expand upon later. Me: Lovebug, you need to go to sleep? Me: Because I said so. Lovebug: Don't say so Mommy. Me: Do you want some blueberries? Lovebug: Yes, don't wash them. Me: I have to wash them or you'll get sick, you don't want to get the golleywobbles (something my mom or grandmother always used to say to me). As I'm washing the blueberries off. Lovebug: You're washing all the golleywobbles off? Me: *laughing* yes, they went down the drain.

Lovebug and Princess: Bowling alley in our driveway
http://lovebugandprincess.blogspot.com/2010/08/bowling-alley-in-our-driveway.html
Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Bowling alley in our driveway. Anyone who knows us well knows that Hubby is an avid bowler. He has something ridiculous like 30 300's (yes, you read that right, 30 perfect scores! High average of 242 and a high total of 865 (that's for 3 games for you non-bowlers). So, I guess it's only natural then that Lovebug would want to pretend bowl while we were playing outside on Sunday. (Hubby was in the house installing our ceiling fans in the bedrooms, woo hoo! So, now we had our bal...

Tales of a Mountain Mama: Colors of Fall
http://zarikailah.blogspot.com/2011/10/colors-of-fall.html
Wednesday, October 5, 2011. I love fall. I love taking drives with my family. I love Colorado. I love combining the three of these things. Coming from a place where there weren't really any deciduous trees at all, I absolutely LOVE taking drives with my family in Colorado in the fall. Aspens are so amazing this time of year! Website that gave us a great idea of a route to take. Here's a glimpse as to what we get to enjoy every fall. Location: Cripple Creek, CO, USA. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Lovebug and Princess: May 2010
http://lovebugandprincess.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 21, 2010. A post all about Princess. This has become a favorite phrase in our house. I believe it comes from Swiper on Dora. Lovebug was saying it for a while. Princess has since started saying it. Even while I'm typing this."Oh Man! If either hubby or I say "Oh Man! Back to her, she says "No Oh Man! And wags her little finger at us. Cutest thing in the world! Princess has also started saying "Yeah" with this little accent like she's from Sweden. So sweet! Sunday, May 16, 2010. So, his surger...

Tales of a Mountain Mama: March 2010
http://zarikailah.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 15, 2010. I'd like you to meet Mika and Urijah's li'l brother! No name quite yet, but soon, I promise. The umbilical cord was being obnoxious and was hanging out between his legs, so at first the midwife was like "giiiiirl? But he was a good boy and moving around being cute, and got that cord out of there to show us the "goods", lol! He was opening and closing his mouth, kicking around, and at the end was sucking his thumb. So cute! A treat to see him being so adorable! Links to this post.

Saturday, May 1, 2010. Not Just for Baking. I love baking soda. It is really cool stuff. First there's what it does with baking - combining with other ingredients to make dough and batter rise and become light and fluffy. It creates the big air bubbles in sourdough, too (mmmmmm.sourdough). Then there's that science experiment that if you didn't do, some other kid in your class did at some point with a volcano. You can also use baking soda for health! Why there are dozens of ways to use it for cleaning!

Tales of a Mountain Mama: Elimination Diet - The Second Go Around
http://zarikailah.blogspot.com/2013/06/elimination-diet-second-go-around.html
Thursday, June 20, 2013. Elimination Diet - The Second Go Around. If you want to read about the first time I did this elimination diet and why I did, you can read my posts here. My reasons this time around are very similar. I knew that having a 4th baby would be very taxing on my body and I'd need to do some healing afterward. Little did I know how. Much healing. At the end of January, when Judah was just a little over a month old I ended up with gallstones. Holy Cow, those are no fun! 1 tbsp olive oil.
