http://recipeforlifemakeitfun.blogspot.com/2012/11/its-damp-rainy-chilly-day-here-in.html
Tuesday, November 6, 2012. It's a damp, rainy, chilly day here in the Chicago suburbs, and I can't help but wish I was back in the South. It seems unnatural for it to be this cold and dreary in early November. Unnatural for me, a Southerner, that is. For my husband, born and bred in Chicago and its sprawling suburbs, it's normal. Of course, if I were in Memphis I also might be looking over my shoulder every 5 minutes, too. It's become a dangerous city. I'm stunned, actually. So, to all those unknown near...

Recipe for Life: October 2010
http://recipeforlifemakeitfun.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 20, 2010. I Know My Own Strength. For whatever reason, I was a total dunce at PE when I was in school. I was a pretty solid A/B student except for math and PE, and as challenging as math was for me, I'd definitely pick it over PE. PE really wasn't too bad until 7th or 8th grade.until then it was more like playing. But in 7th grade our teacher instituted President Kennedy's Physical Fitness program and PE became a state of torture for me. Then, in high school one of my PE teachers was a...

Recipe for Life: May 2013

Wednesday, May 8, 2013. I've had a craving for kale the past 2 weeks. Nothing wrong with that, in fact, there is a lot right with it, except that I don't like kale. So I resisted the craving. (Funny.I used to resist cravings for cookies, cake, donuts, pizza, sausage, because I didn't want to gain weight, and now I am resisting a craving for kale.). Because I knew the craving meant I needed one, if not all, of the many nutrients in kale. Stay tuned for more on that. So as soon as I got home, I got out the...

Recipe for Life: A Tale of Tat Soi
http://recipeforlifemakeitfun.blogspot.com/2010/11/tale-of-tat-soi.html
Wednesday, November 3, 2010. A Tale of Tat Soi. Last Saturday, with warm weather still lingering in Middle Tennessee like a summer cold, I was on a mission. My goal: to find some summer-y type produce at the West Nashville Farmer's Market. Parsnips, turnips, and butternut squash just don't have much appeal for me when the temperatures are still in the 80s. I'd never even heard of tat soi- yet, even though it wasn't a summer vegetable I was still intrigued. Once home, I decided to search the internet for ...

http://recipeforlifemakeitfun.blogspot.com/2014/01/january-newsletter_18.html
Saturday, January 18, 2014. It's with great enthusiasm that I send out this first newsletter of 2014! One of the most exciting changes is that I will be partnering with Connie Jackson, a top food truck owner and caterer, to bring a healthy, home delivery meal service to the Nashville area. Connie's business is called, Your Dish Is Our Command. I also am continuing to offer one-on-one and group health coaching services, and will be offering teleclasses and workshops throughout the year, so stay tuned.

Recipe for Life: July 2010

Monday, July 26, 2010. Best Homemade Tomato Sauce Recipe. The Master Your Metabolism Cookbook. I love Jillian Michaels' new Master Your Metabolism cookbook! The recipes are fresh, delicious, easy to prepare, and also contain information about how the veggies, fruits, and herbs in the recipes will benefit your health. I was so glad to have found this recipe, because as I eat cleaner and healthier, jarred pasta sauce (which I always used because I did not know how to make homemade) just doesn't taste right.

http://wonderwomankim.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Do You Ever Wonder. Tuesday, December 11, 2007. My Hero My Brother Biker Santa. I intended to post this post on Monday . something happened today that made me know today is the day . I took my Mom to run errands today, a very typical and routine trip to the Wal-Mart. We walked across the threshold of the entrance, I retreived a shopping cart from the corral and as I turned, there he was. My hero is my brother, Steven Carroll Harrell ( 1954 - 1999). A Marine (Vietnam Era Veteran),. On December 16, 1999 wh...

On his way to be Biker Santa at the Christmas Party for the Special Education students at Volunteer High School in Church Hill, Tennessee. A Father - to hi...
