I keep thinking I’ll get to it, but it just hasn’t happened—so today I’m taking the bull by the horns and writing before the rest of life gets in the way. This past week has been a very full one here. Last Sunday (the 17. Was our stake conference. It was a good conference. I spoke with my friend, Philip Taula, after conference. They live in our 11. How To Find Peace; About the Author. Overcome Porn with Joy; Gratitude Is an Empowering Emotion. June 3, 2015. As I read through all the Psalms and Proverbs of the day that I scheduled, gratitude empowered me to resist pornography. An interesting note, when I had a strong urge to view pornography, I would read out of the Psalms or Proverbs or one of the Gospels to resist it. The cravings left me. Psalm 98: 1 – 9. His Right Arm brings salvation. To God, shout for joy. The harp and new music sings. Shift t...

Monday, May 11, 2015. Robert has had back problems for years and the past couple of years it has gotten really bad. Really bad. He has tried nearly everything from physical therapy to numerous surgeries to strong medications. He HATES the medications for their numerous side effects. He even has to be on oxygen at night because the meds decrease his levels when he sleeps. Luckily we both like the white noise of the oxygen machine. I just wanted everyone out of that room! When Robert and I talked about thi...

http://ryan2-1.blogspot.com/2014/10/maddux-10-months.html
Sunday, October 5, 2014. Maddux @ 9 months. Army crawl expert. Gets around the house quickly just using his arms to drag the rest of his body around. He's only crawled on all fours for a few short moments. Loves books, but is in the mode of turning the pages as quickly as he can before moving on to the next one. 4 teeth with 4 more erupting. Still no jabbering or attempts at any sounds other than screams/shouts and his consistent "Ehhhhh". Is still a happy, happy boy in the morning. Maddux will interact ...

StrokesFor Dummies: September 2014
http://carlsonjodi.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 3, 2014. This article was posted on "Young Stroke Survivors" FB page and I really liked it. I'm nearly seven yeas out and fatigue is still a major problem for me. I have to plan my day around it. But my biggest question is whether house work is considered both mental and physical. That could be my new excuse for not doing it! Mental versus Physical Fatigue. Why does this occur? Does fatigue get better over time? For most, it does. Does it go away completely? What Can I Do?

A Change Is As Good As A Rest: Only the Second Time
http://blogwithaundrea.blogspot.com/2014/11/only-second-time.html
Friday, November 21, 2014. Only the Second Time. My mother got up and got herself ready for the day every morning. She always put on clean clothes, did her hair, and did her makeup. She encouraged me to do the same, even if I knew the day was going to be filled with dirt, sweat, or tears. On the flip side, I have often felt that my beauty came from the inside out, so I'm quite comfortable in my own, un-made-up skin. I have no problem going to the store without makeup.
