http://www.whoswatchingthebaby.com/p/homeschooling.html
Updated with 2012-2013 Curriculum! Math: We're using Teaching Textbooks 3 for my second grader, and TT4/5 for my fourth grader. Pre-k kiddo is doing as much of the Singapore Kindergarten book as he finds appealing. Also supplementing with Daily Mental Math, because my kids are arithmetic-challenged. English/LA: Writing with Ease, First Language Lessons, and Spelling Workout. Literature will come from history studies. Social Studies: Story of the World Volume 1. I could NOT be more excited about this.

Who's watching the baby?: March 2011
http://www.whoswatchingthebaby.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Oh yeah, still alive! So Hey there. How was your week? Yeah, me too. Spring Break here, accompanied by rain, rain, and oh-so-much-more rain. We're going to slog through 100 miles of rain in the morning to get back home, where I will resume my regular blogging. About stuff like this! And about 30 Anthropologie knockoffs I've been plotting for the last week. In the meantime, I'll go back to taking care of my kids and their strep (.yup. Rain strep Spring Break. Well, this is my in...

Who's watching the baby?: August 2011
http://www.whoswatchingthebaby.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 10, 2011. If you don't know this family, then you are missing out. This post is going to contain a lot of words. If you're anti-word, you might want to turn back now. I am still a little bit shaken, and a little bit shaky, and pretty all-around uneven. On July 1, while on vacation in Georgia, my best friend Susie and her family were in a horrible, horrific, tragic crash. Cause he's three. Three years old. Not even almost 4 - just three. Perhaps most importantly, if you would like to lif...

Who's watching the baby?: August 2012
http://www.whoswatchingthebaby.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 11, 2012. My oldest child is turning ten tomorrow. I have been a parent for decade. The years have not flown by, and I'm not in wonder at where the time has gone. Slowly, day by day, my baby boy has grown up. He is someone to be proud of, and I couldn't be more sincere when I say that day in, day out, I thoroughly enjoy his company. The answers are as varied as the stars. Kids love open-ended toys. Blocks, Legos, dolls, Play-Doh, buckets, art supplies, matchbox cars, cardboard boxes,...

Who's watching the baby?: February 2011
http://www.whoswatchingthebaby.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. Hey there, folks! Pretty big weekend for me! First, my St. Patrick's Day mantel. Was featured at tatertots and jello. And then, the VERY SAME DAY, I got to go to here:. No 5 kids, no husband telling me how little I really need silicon molds shaped like tiny little arrows or 60 Scandinavian printed cupcake liners - just me. And it was AWESOME. I got a few things here and there, but I have to tell you that this. One last thing - I do know that Wanda. Has a name, and it's a bodkin...

http://peterscattle.blogspot.com/2013/09/husker-harvest-days.html
Sep 13, 2013. The other day, I realized I haven't made any posts in a long time. The summer was packed full of everything from fairs and 4H projects, to wheat harvest, track meets, vacations, lego building, checking cows, haying and the Kansas State Fair. Time flies when you're having fun! This was Charlie's favorite tractor at the show. He is in awe with the track system. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Peters Cattle: Fat Cattle
http://peterscattle.blogspot.com/2013/05/fat-cattle.html
May 10, 2013. Most years we send our cattle to the feedlot and feed them out there. This year we decided to keep the light end and feed them ourselves. They went to Creekstone and the grade report was excellent! I included a few shots I was able to take before they went. Jamie. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
