la chanson de ma vie: March 2015
http://ariavie.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
La chanson de ma vie. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. A Weekend in the Mountains, Part 2: Granite Peak. I wonder out loud. Before I know it, we're climbing the steep fire road to the Granite Peak trailhead. Granite Peak is on the left. We begin the arduous climb up the mountain. In the five miles to the top, the trail gains an impressive 4,500 ft. without a single reprieve. I find myself leading the way up the trail with a giant grin on my face. The "Too much coffee" selfie. Snack time, complete with photobomb.

Why Do You Run So Much? | Rural Running Redhead
https://ruralrunningredhead.com/2015/01/13/why-do-you-run-so-much
Why Do You Run So Much? January 13, 2015. Why do you run so much? Ask my students, my family, my friends. I shrug and give the simple answer: I run so much because I love it. But if I had time, every time someone asked, I could list so many reasons. If I had time, and if the questioner was willing to listen, I’d say…. I love the euphoria following a win. And in a strange way, I love the despair following a loss. Is why I run so much. Why do you run/bike/swim/exercise/fill in the blank so much? January 18...

Turning 30 Like a Boss. August 3, 2015. Saturday was my 30th birthday. I’ve never been a big birthday celebrator, but I wanted to do something special this year. la chanson de ma vie: May 2015
http://ariavie.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
La chanson de ma vie. Saturday, May 30, 2015. Bonking on Peterson Ridge. Little clouds of dust puff behind Matt's every footstep as we make our way through the trees. The sun, now fully high in the sky, beats down like a blow torch and even though the humidity is low, I find myself sweating profusely. Beads of perspiration drip from my chin and splash on my knee. Just a mile into the run, I knew it would be a rough day. I think to myself, it looks pretty awful. It's not until our rest stop that I realize...
