Day 4 | GAPS diet Journal
https://gapsdietjournal.wordpress.com/2013/07/09/day-4
July 9, 2013. I moved on to stage 3 yesterday by adding avocado and egg yolks. I didn’t realize this was stage 3 when I did. Perhaps there is a difference between the GAPS guide and Dr. Natasha’s book – Gut and Psychology Syndrome. I’ll have to check. I will be making ghee today. Since we stopped milking our cow, we lost our source of grassfed organic butter. We did find it for sale at Whole Foods a couple of months back, so we stocked up. I am so glad the organic, grassfed, and raw milk move...Posts may...

Day 2 & 3 | GAPS diet Journal
https://gapsdietjournal.wordpress.com/2013/07/07/day-2-3
Day 2 & 3. July 7, 2013. I had a few questions on Day 1 and remembered the GAPS Guide. Being mentioned before as a good source of information and step-by-step recommendations on how to go through the different stages of the diet. So we ordered the book for Kindle, and I’ve read most of it. It has been very helpful. I have a better idea of what exactly I can eat and what to expect. And tagged stage 1. Day 6 | GAPS diet Journal
https://gapsdietjournal.wordpress.com/2013/07/12/day-6
July 12, 2013. I did end up adding one thing to my diet yesterday – egg whites! I made some really yummy scrambled eggs using the ghee from two days ago. We have been making 1-gallon jars of yogurt for years, using plain yogurt from the store for starter. A few weeks ago, I needed to buy some new culture for our Chevre (soft goat cheese), so I ordered a pack of yogurt starter, too. Well, I can’t believe how good this yogurt is! I am completely sold. I bought the Bulgarian Yogurt. Enter your comment here.

First Post – Day 1 | GAPS diet Journal
https://gapsdietjournal.wordpress.com/2013/07/06/first-post-day-1
First Post – Day 1. July 6, 2013. Looking at lists of symptoms for IBS, Crohn’s Disease, Diverticulitis Who knows? It could be any one of those. The one thing they all have in common is that there is no cure, and the recommended protocol is a combination of steroids for inflammation and things like laxatives, plus a bunch of invasive tests (MRI, colonoscopy…) all so they can tell you what the name of your condition is and that there is no cure. No thanks! Chicken stock, yogurt. Ginger and peppermint tea.

Day 5 | GAPS diet Journal
https://gapsdietjournal.wordpress.com/2013/07/10/day-5
July 10, 2013. I was not feeling well last night – headache, backache, and joint pain… I guess my question is was it dye off or something I ate? I will not be introducing any new foods today. https://gapsdietjournal.wordpress.com/2013/07/09/making-ghee
July 9, 2013. I made ghee this afternoon. I plan on adding it to my diet tomorrow. Even though I’ve had some minor headaches, probably due to dye off, but almost nothing, I am very happy about feeling so much better. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Ginger & Peppermint Tea | GAPS diet Journal
https://gapsdietjournal.wordpress.com/2013/07/11/ginger-peppermint-tea
Ginger and Peppermint Tea. July 11, 2013. Ginger tea bas been my go-to remedy for years. It is so helpful for when we feel a cold coming on, sore throats, and stomach upsets. I was glad to see it prescribed by Dr. Natasha in stage 1 intro. It makes perfect sense to me, and I think it did the trick with the intestinal troubles I was having before starting intro. My kids are growing up with it and have learned how to make their own tea. Ginger and Peppermint Tea. 1 inch piece of ginger, chopped. Peel the g...
