First time joining 2 challenges! First one is the Prima. Marketing Build a Page. Here's my take on the sketch. The heart i used is made of wood then i just painted it cranberry red then glazed with glossy accents from ranger. Next project is for "THE COLOR ROOM" challenge #3. The top part (lid) was painted with acrylic paint then I used delta's crackle medium. Silly me, i was waiting for the cracks to appear and was getting frustrated when i remembered that i need to apply a topcoat! A Layout and 2 Cards.

The past few weeks passed in a blur. We were so busy with so much stuff that i was able to finish 2 layouts only. So much for my 1 layout a week plan. First one is a layout of Francine. These photos were taken in the car with the sun coming in from the window. We were waiting to pick up Francine from school and Bea and I were fooling around with the camera. I stamped and embossed the birdcage then just cut around it. The cardstock. Is a little reflective and would sometimes look lighter and/or darker depending on the lighting. The title is a rub-on and it gave me muscle cramps AND I was really scared that I would mess it up. Swirls and bird were painted with smooch. Next are the " girly.

Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Altered project: desk calendar. My son, Zach, was asked to do a project - a 'Talaarawan ng mabubuting asal' for his Filipino subject. I decided to let him use a recycled material instead of buying him a notebook in a bookstore. This is what we came up with - an old desk calendar. Mostly discarded at the end of the year and in our department alone, I was able to gather a lot. I decided to make it useful. And now I'm using it for my son's project.
