Please use any cool color of your choosing for each block (blue, green, purple, or grey) and make two 11-1/2" square blocks. i used blue for my sample block. The center block will always be a dark value fabric. The most important thing is tha...

Sunday, June 30, 2013. 8230; 3/4 log cabins. Actually, i'm not sure what this block is called, so i decided to call it a 3/4 log cabin. or a 3-sided log cabin. whatever the name, it is the block i'm asking the love circle of do. good stitches. And i'm sure everyone is smart and can figure out how to make these on their own, but i've made a little mini tutorial and given a few tips to help out. But instead of sewing a fourth side, stop there! Sew another round as you did before in your third color. And an...

Tuesday, October 22, 2013. 8230; a 3/4 log cabin quilt. Before i finally pack this up and send it off to wrap them in love. I know, i know, i'm a little pokey with these things lately) i thought perhaps i should write a little about this quilt, my new all-time favorite for the love circle of do. good stitches. You may remember the quickie tutorial. I'm seriously quite tickled with how it turned out. And i worried that even if i tried it would still not meet up completely and that would frustrate the heck...

http://whatarajaneloves.blogspot.com/2013/10/october.html
Thursday, October 17, 2013. O suns and skies and clouds of June,. And flowers of June together,. Ye cannot rival for one hour. October's bright blue weather;. When loud the bumble-bee makes haste,. Belated, thriftless vagrant,. And Golden-Rod is dying fast,. And lanes with grapes are fragrant;. When Gentians roll their fringes tight. To save them for the morning,. And chestnuts fall from satin burrs. Without a sound of warning;. When on the ground red apples lie. In piles like jewels shining,. This post ...

A life in lists. A list of things to make. The mighty #mysmallworldqal, and some thoughts on slow quilting. Life in literature blog | Living life through the literary
Life in literature blog. Living life through the literary. Amazing woman. Such an inspirational post. I’ve always believed in telling the truth, mainly because you always get caught out when you lie, or perhaps because I strive to be a good person. But we all lie don’t we? It’s like that terrible film with Ricky Gervais, ‘The Invention of Lying’, where no one can lie. It really makes you realise how many little white lies you tell every day. For example, when people ask How are you? May 25, 2013. Sorry I...
