Life in the Archives
Life in the Archives. Thursday, December 9, 2010. I just finished up my last week of internship hours. That's right, 180 hours just flew by! I spent the week wrapping up projects and almost made it. There is still a bit more of Briscoe to clean-up, but I've been asked if I want to work on some archives hours to finish it if there are any available! I've really enjoyed my internship and all of the support I've had in making me more prepared to be a real archivist. They were files kept by the old archives ...

life in the arctic
Life in the arctic. Sunday, January 1, 2012. So, since last, I have been out on grand adventures. Not only on my snow scooter, (which at the moment is parked outside the hut awaiting my return), but i have actually left the island, flown half way across the world and spent three weeks prior to christmas in the wonderful land of Costa Rica. Up, down, seats back, belt buckles off, cramped toilets with water everywhere (where does it all come from? Kayaking, warm water, jungle, beautiful bliss. meditati...

Life in the Arctic Circle
Life in the Arctic Circle. Sunday, April 10, 2016. Starting the Genius Hour Project. Since the year is almost over and this class only meets for 45 minutes once a week, plus, it is the type of course that is perfect for independent inquiry-based projects because they can easily be tied to the standards. And, so the Genius Hour was birthed. I started my research at http:/ www.geniushour.com/. This is where it really started:. I must admit, I hope a student comes without a pitch because then I will invite ...

Life in the Arena Blog | Just another WordPress.com site
Life in the Arena Blog. Just another WordPress.com site. Not quite, but I will follow this guy. June 29, 2011. I’m not much of a tennis guy, but I became a Roger Federer fan recently. Now don’t get all defensive you Nadal and Djokovic backers, it’s not about Wimbledon performance but about his approach to the sport that interests me. He spoke in a recent interview. A shot just as likely to be practiced at 9 am as 10 pm And that's the point. We want to accomplish or become, but to accept that how. But how...

Life In the Ashe Lane
Life In the Ashe Lane. Friday, April 2, 2010. It's been a while. First, I made him a quilt, which now that is finished, I have to say I like the back better than the front, but oh well. It is the first time I was adventurous enough to try a pieced back as opposed to a plain one. Here's a picture of the back that I like better :). I wanted to try some of these receiving blankets too, so I made two with minky fabric on one side to make it nice and snuggly :). Posted by Kevin Ashe. Saturday, October 24, 2009.

Life in the Aspie Lane | An Aspie Mom writes her nonsense
Life in the Aspie Lane. An Aspie Mom writes her nonsense. Hormones, hormones, I love hormones! June 13, 2014. Yah, that I do. I love hormones because they are the juice that make our bodies run…but in transitional times their ups and downs drive me CRAZY. Basket sits there for another day. Until I yell. “If you don’t get this silly basket where I want it now I will make you miss whatever it is you are looking forward to today. ”. It’s not all bad though. In calling me out with yelling, he was being helpf...
