Life in the Gateway City: June 2015

http://lifeinthegatewaycity.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Life in the Gateway City. Thursday, June 18, 2015. On Tuesday, James and I celebrated our 14th anniversary. We got a sitter on Saturday evening, and we went out to dinner. We had hoped to go to the Shakespeare Festival. Photos by Kevin Beasley. We went out to eat at The Shaved Duck. The restaurant has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, so there's a bit of hype surrounding the place. We drove to Ted Drew's for dessert. They are where Dairy Queen got their inspiration for their Blizzards&#46...

Life in the Gateway City: Our Wedding Vows

http://lifeinthegatewaycity.blogspot.com/2011/06/our-wedding-vows.html

Life in the Gateway City. Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Photo by Kevin Beasley. Our vows came from samples that used to be available for free on Dallas Theological Seminary's website. I tried to look for them today, and it seems that they are now charging $15 for a Wedding Planning Kit that you have to purchase if you want to see their sample vows. Life in the Gateway City: Crawfish Boil & Vow Renewal

http://lifeinthegatewaycity.blogspot.com/2011/06/crawfish-boil-vow-renewal.html

Life in the Gateway City. Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Crawfish Boil and Vow Renewal. It's hard to believe it, but our tenth wedding anniversary is this week! This past Saturday, we had a crawfish boil for our community group from church, and we decided that since it was going to be so close to our anniversary that it would be a nice time to renew our vows. A friend of ours Jason Polk, who is the worship pastor at Grace PCA Church. She is so talented. It was a great evening! I'll post our vows later this week.

Life in the Gateway has Moved: My blog as moved!

http://daisyandlily.blogspot.com/2010/07/my-blog-as-moved.html

Life in the Gateway has Moved. Monday, July 19, 2010. My blog as moved! I moved my blog to a new address. It can now be found here. If you have a link on your blog to mine, please update the link. . .and please. Do not label it with my first and last name - or my husband's name either. He never writes here anyway. I've avoided using my last name anywhere on this blog, and for the sake of privacy, I'd really appreciate if you would honor my request. Thanks so much! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Life in the Gap | periodic looks at life in between

Life in the Gap. Periodic looks at life in between. July 23, 2014. Another one of my sisters got married at the end of last month. Maybe it’s because my sisters are so close to me, so involved in all my most important memories, that I struggle to take their weddings seriously. Every time I have to remind myself that this is real; I stand in the vestibule ten minutes before it all begins pinching myself to make sure I’m not dreaming. Please pray for me as I enter formation. Know of my prayers for you ...

Lesbian Christian artist geek-of-all-trades. Christian, gay and confused. Straight, not narrow. Echidne of the snakes. Forgive us our trespasses. Arguments i no longer tolerate. Strawberries: a metaphor too far. There seems to be a lot of bitterness here. Newsflash: its not about you. I think this is called dysfunctional. Two seemingly unrelated conversations. Forgive us our trespasses. Does forgiveness require forgetting, or consent on the part of the forgiven? Interestingly enough, I discovered later t...

Thursday, May 19, 2011. Achievement Unlocked: New Apartment! Hello, dear readers! I apologize for the three-week hiatus; the rumors of my internet have been greatly exaggerated. Remember my last post, where I declared myself off to apartment-hunt? Additionally, one of Bordwine's vanishing stoner roommates will be shuffling off the rental coil on Sunday, which means Vian and Tracy can start moving their junk the whole one block it takes to get them into the new place. Thus, our regularly scheduled gee...

Life in the Girl Lane. A thirtysomething's perspective on life, love, and everything in between. Wildfire.initPost('181251', 'divWildfirePost', 650, 100, pconf);. Saturday, January 08, 2011. After being mildly insulted by a few comments and being put off by some of the things he laughed at during the comedy show, I decided that it was best not to go out with him again. I assumed he would take the hint and would only pursue a friendship, if anything, with me. Wrong! I learned that the right kind of man wi...
