Monday, June 17, 2013. Today we toured the Black Forrest. It was one of the prettiest places we have seen. The bus tour took us through the area's renowned mountain landscape, rolling meadows, and dense forests. We stopped at local workshop where they build cuckoo clocks. We also walked to a small church built in the 13th century. Sunday, June 2, 2013. We visited the Marksburg Castle, built on the Rhine River. It has retained nearly all of its initial construction and stands as the best preserved cas...

Thursday, May 16, 2013. Tulip Fields/ A visit to Gouda. The tulip fields were absolutely amazing! Next we went to a little town called Gouda. Yes, it is where gouda cheese comes from. We walked around the market place, sampled cheese, and took pictures of this quaint little town. We had French crepes for dinner and then drove back to the hotel. It had been a long, but fun day. The Grover Family: March 2015
http://thegroverfamily.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 27, 2015. When your child's third grade teacher sends home an assignment to use household materials to create an invention to insulate an egg from breaking when dropped off the roof, the teacher has to know that the completion of the project falls squarely on the shoulders of the parent, right? Because it does. It's mom homework! My advice for the future would be to remove the parachute from the canister prior to dropping it from the roof:/. A Grover Family First! Aaron loved shooting and i...

The Grover Family: Independence Day
http://thegroverfamily.blogspot.com/2015/08/independence-day.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. We took a break from our typical 4th of July parade tradition, and instead participated in our neighborhood bike parade. Not quite as spectacular as the grand parade, but the kids probably enjoyed it just as much (and Aaron was much happier not having to spend the night out in the street to secure our seats! We took advantage of some free food, music, and entertainment at our neighborhood party. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Aaron, Courtney, Hank, Max, Ben and Joey.

The Grover Family: Sunriver
http://thegroverfamily.blogspot.com/2015/08/sunriver.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. Looking back over our week spent in Sunriver, Oregon, I can understand why Hank proclaimed it was as much fun as Disneyland. We swam, golfed, miniature golfed, bowled, sled, biked, played pickleball, picnicked, shopped, and had lots of cousin time. Sunriver has expanded its amenities to include a fun waterpark:. Aaron and I were pickleball rookies, but had so much fun learning to play! We're ordering our own paddles to take up the sport at home! While I went shopping with the girl...

http://thegroverfamily.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 14, 2015. Joey is a one in a million and I love him to bits. So, I am a winter weenie and didn't want to actually physically go outside in the snow myself, but I'm still an awesome mom and wanted my kids to be able to go sledding.so I supervised from the warmth of my car. So fun! Our neighborhood park turned into a sledding hotspot and all the kids' friends raced down the slopes together. Playdoh for Joey, and a kiddie piano for Rocky. I can't feel sad about Christmas being over becaus...
