This is usually done at startup by the mount command which uses the /etc/fstab file. Files that start with a dot "." are hidden, but not completely (you can do ls -a to see the files). Tuesday, September 6, 2011. When trying to install Catalyst on Windows, I noticed some differences between Windows XP and Windows 7 64-bit installation of ActiveState perl. Namely, that dmake, and gcc would not install on the 64-bit version of Windows. Here are some of the problems I had. C: Documents and Settings scottm cpan. Gccexe: Extraneous argument to `- ' option.
