Zentangle patterns, artwork and more. My second week in Belize. September 13, 2016. Gosh, I should really blog more often. So much has happened in the past week! One day I drove all the way up to Corozol. You cross a couple of rivers. I just cannot pass a bridge without looking over the side. 🙂 Here and there you see kids swimming in the river. Toll Collection … nobody told me about that! Well, it was only 75c. I wonder if that is worth putting a guy into that little hut the entire day long? You are com...

Ina's Tangles – Page 2 – Zentangle patterns, artwork and more
https://inasomo.wordpress.com/page/2
Zentangle patterns, artwork and more. April 7, 2016. April 7, 2016. After many months of planning, I finally had the guts to begin work on a new webpage. The way I categorise patterns in my upcoming book needs to be shared. Where do you start when you want to identify a specific pattern that you discovered in a tile? Well, normally you can identify what kind of an underlying structure the pattern has. Is it a grid? I will write an extensive blog post on the new site shortly. Until then, visit. Here is a ...

Spanish Lookout – Ina's Tangles

Zentangle patterns, artwork and more. August 26, 2016. August 26, 2016. The last few days I’ve been driving around in my pretty little car. I drove up to Spanish Lookout, Belize’s largest Mennonite community. Again, this is completely different to what I have seen in Belize so far. Wide open spaces – farmland. It is really beautiful up there. Unfortunately the day was very overcast, but I can imagine that the view must be breathtaking on a clear day. A closer look at what is growing ON the trees 🙂.

My Love Hate Story with Mexican Rice. July 15, 2015. August 5, 2015. I remember the first time I cooked rice. It was my third semester in Bible college and I was cooking for my roommate and a few friends. My beef tacos were on the menu with all the fixings. I had been chopping the veggies for our tacos when I took a peep at the rice cooking and it was RUINED! My heart sunk. I was embarrassed! 8221; I was thinking in my head, ” Am I missing something or am I just not getting it? When we got married, I jus...

DIY Tire Seat - A Life That We Built
http://alifethatwebuilt.com/diy-tire-seat
A Life That We Built. How We Make Our Home Fit Our Life. September 23, 2014. I searched through my Pinterest archives and found a picture of a tire seat. I liked the idea because in our yard we have no designated kids seats. The tires would make the seats very durable and weatherproof. Our boys are 5 and 7 years old so I wanted to make the seats a little larger for them to grow into, so I decided to use two tires stacked on top of each other. This is how I made the seats:. I stacked the tires on top of e...

The beach and sand flies – Ina's Tangles

Zentangle patterns, artwork and more. The beach and sand flies. September 13, 2016. September 13, 2016. This is a ‘special edition’ on my Belize blog. My kids are due to arrive shortly, so I asked on the Facebook forum for advice. What should I have in my emergency kit? Of course the usual – bandaid, gauze, antiseptic cream – your general first aid kit. BUT there is more that should not be missing! Big problem with new arrivals with the soft, untanned, yummy tasting flesh are the sand flies! Garlic ̵...

Zentangle patterns, artwork and more. My move to Belize. August 22, 2016. After many months of planning I have finally arrived in Belize. My first stop is in San Ignacio – it’s a very central location from which I can explore the entire country. First impression: Culture Shock! Is this really where I want to live with my family? More from me later 🙂. Belize – this is ‘home’ now. 13 thoughts on “ My move to Belize. August 22, 2016 at 10:19 pm. August 22, 2016 at 10:21 pm. Erika @ Booksthething.com. Augus...
