And blogging is up there- there was a good chance my next post would be a picture of our little guy, but like many things, it's not hard to begin again if you just sit down and do it. I looked down and saw it's been 10 days since I last posted, but I'm sure it hasn't been that long. :). I have a long list of projects for the summer too, most of which involve downsizing and simplifying. Theres s...

Although I try not to talk too much about my kids (foibles or successes), I know people like to hear how Liz is doing. Plus, this is a good place to keep track of things, since, like most #3 children, she does not get documented as much. She'll repeat what ...

Saturday, January 4, 2014. I have added a couple extra e-mails, somehow, and had forgotten how to access my blogger account, until this evening. I wasn't really intending to write in the blog, but seeing as how I may not be able to access this account for another 6 months (it was quite the lucky pushing of buttons this time), I decided I'd do a quick "sum-up" since my last post in June/July. To end this post I will share some of the favorite photos from the past 6 months! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, February 3, 2014. For Christmas we got each of the kids a balance bike. Three weeks later, Allister was riding a bike, with pedals, no training wheels, and feeling super confident! We're thinking that Ellani and Isaiah could probably even start riding pedal bikes soon. So, if you're thinking about getting balance bikes for your kids, my only warning would be to prepare yourself to buy pedal bikes soon thereafter! Just Having Some Fun. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Friday, May 31, 2013. Week of the Funeral. The week of Oma's funeral was an absolute blur. We spent some of the day with her on Monday (May 13th) before she went to be with the Lord. Tuesday and Wednesday were spent with family, gathering pictures and making funeral preparations. Thursday we had two visitations, at which I was able to meet many more family members and friends. Friday, we had the funeral. Now that the funeral is over, I feel like we can proceed with grieving. Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

A compilation of my fashionable, decorative, foodie life. May 12, 2013. It’s easy to have a jumbled looking cork board (hence, the one currently in my childhood bedroom). Life on Highway 9
Life on Highway 9. Sunday, March 20, 2011. Building a tractor cab. Having completed the second tractor cab for my 2003 Kubota L3000DT, the first being a miserable failure, I thought I would touch on some of what I learned in the hopes of saving others from my mistakes. The angle iron had too much flex and my haste resulted in a cab which not only was an embarrassment to myself but my entire family both living and dead. With spring breaking I pushed it off into the scrap pile where it rests as we speak.

Reunite My Family
November 10, 2014. Today marks an anniversary that I honestly could do without….today marks the 5th year of immigration hell. Today 5 years ago, my husband and I walked into an immigration hearing to prove we got married in good faith, and I walked out alone. All I want is my family back together in one country so we can move on with our story. Is that really too much to ask for? I don’t think so. On November 10, 2014. September 9, 2014. I will no longer be silent. Nothing is guaranteed and people can sp...
Confessions From a Life on Holiday | This is our lives on Holiday…
Confessions From a Life on Holiday. June 25, 2009} Liberalville and Books. I read Keeping You a Secret. By Julie Ann Peters recently. And I was appalled. Keeping You a Secret. With all due respect to Peters, seemed like a slightly more modern re-hash of Nancy Garden’s breakout lesbian novel, Annie on My Mind. Now please note that when I say “breakout,” I mean that Garden’s novel was written in 1982. Peters’ was written in 2005. Annie on My Mind. Abandon their friends just because they happen to be gay...
