My 2006 European holiday. Diary of a trip. Monday, January 08, 2007. September 4 - 5. We went from the Travelodge to Beverley where we visited Beverley Minster, then we moved on to Market Washington. In York we walked along the wall to the minster; after York we went on to the amazing ruins of Fountains Abbey. In Durham we walked along the river and visited the extraordinary cathedral; in the Durham Waitrose we found bottles of Rutherglen Estates' Durif - it was delicious. Stayed at Washington Travelodge.

Wednesday, January 28, 2009. We had a great time outside in the snow today! There was a foot of snow, so plenty for a sled ride! I took Oscar and Dillon for several laps, then Dillon wanted to take Oscar on a ride over the big snow mound in the middle of the court. (Oscar is saying "cheese" but it is hard to tell under all those layers! They both had so much fun while we were out shoveling, and were ready for hot cocoa when they got done!
