Recovering Technophile: Are Children Dumber Today Than They Used To Be?
http://lifeovertech.blogspot.com/2007/01/are-children-dumber-today-than-they.html
Applying old perspectives to our modern life. Wednesday, January 24, 2007. Are Children Dumber Today Than They Used To Be? Posted by David Miller. Lest I get in hot water with all the parents out there, my short answer is "no." Now let me explain the question. I recently learned of a bill coming before the Utah Senate which would fund all day kindergarten. Ceaucescu wanted a great population. Anyone have any questions as to why we heard so much about Romanian orphanages now? I think continually on what t...

Applying old perspectives to our modern life. Monday, February 12, 2007. Posted by David Miller. I have finally made the move back to my own domain for my blog. This blog will remain at least as long as it takes to import everything from the new blogger to Wordpress. I have no idea how long it will be before that is possible so this may stay for a while. However, I will not be posting here anymore. Recovering Technophile now resides at www.davidjmiller.org. Posted by David Miller. Yes, I'm Still Alive.
Recovering Technophile: John Edwards
http://lifeovertech.blogspot.com/2007/02/john-edwards.html
Applying old perspectives to our modern life. Monday, February 12, 2007. Posted by David Miller. Evaluating John Edwards for endorsement has been something of a challenge. I tried to maintain my objectivity in the matter, but I am surely swayed by the fact that I liked him as a candidate in 2004. In an attempt to be objective I found myself looking for reasons to not endorse him for 2008. I made the decision harder than necessary. In the end, I easily endorse John Edwards for President in 2008. The publi...

Applying old perspectives to our modern life. Friday, February 09, 2007. Yes, I'm Still Alive. Posted by David Miller. It's been a while since I've posted here and I am going to work harder to change that. Things have been very busy at home and at work lately. Right now I would like to give a few projections of what is happening and will be happening with me and the blog. I am actually considering the possibilities of participating with parties and/or candidates at some level and I may finally be ready t...

http://lifeovertech.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Applying old perspectives to our modern life. Friday, August 31, 2007. Posted by David Miller. I saw an article on Slashdot about a trojan being posted to blogger blogs from spam bots using the blogger post by email function. I thought it would be a good idea to make sure that my post by email was not turned on lest I become part of the problem. It was on, but it's off now. Which has been retitled "Pursuit of Liberty" and which I have been using longer than I ever used this blog. View my complete profile.

Basically, this blog is my reaction to events in the news, and the occasional book review. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Political Agenda Gone Awry. You know, I don't really care what you say or how you say it. What I care about is that you come across coherently and intelligently. Today, the Democrats failed on both counts. Hmmm, not really something that anybody wants to say on purpose. Here's the part that makes me think:. It seems like Kerry just can't take responsibility for the words that came out of ...

Will they be able to get over the revenge mentality that according to the press is sending them to civil war? Or will they pull an annhiliation such that Iraq is left desolate? Only The Shadow knows. Basically, this blog is my reaction to events in the news, and the occasional book review. Wednesday, May 07, 2008. Can I say this sort of thing? Camille and I are currently observing the same bedroom rules as the Flintstones, i.e. separate beds. This is because Camille can't sleep on a regular bed because her body won't allow it. She sleeps in an overstuffed recliner next to the bed. Camille: Hey, let's snuggle. Carl: If you think I'm going to climb into that chair with you, you're sorely mistaken.

I had a good experience filling up on gas a couple of days ago. I got there and was greeted by a guy who had just filled up his Toyota Tundra. He said, referring to my scooter, "I'll trade you right now, straight across." I said, "OK, but I think you're going to regret it when you try to load it up.". It's nice to be recognized as the smart one. Train up a child.

Basically, this blog is my reaction to events in the news, and the occasional book review. Thursday, July 26, 2007. No more Mr. Nice Guy. H1 and H2 drivers deserve every bad thing that happens to them. Vandalism is wrong, but this story is one where the driver got what he deserved, after all, he bought the Hummer. So readers, remember the ultimate insult is to refer to somebody as a "hummer". Let's get the ball rolling by flying the bird every time we see a person driving a Hummer. Friday, July 13, 2007.

Because let's face it–life SUCKS most of the time. The Best Life Has To Offer. This Is the End. As mentioned in my last post, I was going to put up my “bye” post but didn’t know what to write other than “bye.” A few weeks ago, I went online and found these funny GIFs for the post and was going to write a post that same night…just didn’t know what to write. Let’s see if we can adequately sum this blog up…. Doesn’t it look like Beyonce is saying “Later, hoe”? You throwin’ me out, WordPress? So, there I was...
