Okay, 2009 is over, and we are settling into the second month of 2010. Where has the time gone? It seems like we are always so crazy busy. Because of Facebook, I was even worse about posting anything to this blog. :-) As a result, I can say that the info on here is years old! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Simple template. The happiest marriages are those which produce three children at the intervals of not less than two or more than three years.". Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Living Too Long In The South. The other day we were sitting in the living room when I noticed something buzzing around one of the windows. It was a pretty hummingbird, and I pointed it out to the kids. Luci immediately piped up with "BUG! Momma, kill it! We have some weird, sci- fi. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Living Too Long In The South.

Forest Folks: August 2008
http://forestfolks.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 19, 2008. This past weekend was dedicated to one purpose: Spoiling Talia. On Friday, Talia turned one. To honor her on her special day, she received numerous hugs, kisses, serenades, tickles, and blueberry pancakes. Making our celebration even more special, Grandma and Grandpa Poole came to visit. Talia played with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma introduced Talia to the joy of shopping. Mommy also benefited from the excursion. For lunch and lasagna for dinner. Here is the birthday girl.

Friday, July 25, 2008. Mommy says she is too busy to update the blog so I thought I would fill in for her. Mommy and I have fun all day. We play a game called laundry. Mommy folds clothes and places them in drawers. I reach into the drawers and pull out the clothes. Mommy refolds the clothes and places them back in the drawers. I pull them out. We play this game until I get bored. Recently I got sick. Mommy and Daddy felt bad for me so they bought me new toys. I like my giant Legos. I like to make messes.

Saturday, February 23, 2008. In Praise of Cheese Vacations. We enjoyed a nice vacation in wine country this past week. With Talia in tow, wine tasting was highly impractical and hardly desirable. Being dairy fiends, we decided to call our trip a "cheese vacation." While it may not have been as spectacular as Wallace and Gromit's vacation, our cheese sources proved more reliable. Here is a what we did. Home base was Windsor (located about 10 minutes from Healdsburg. Here we are in our condo. Here is the B...

Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Tender: Talia can be so cuddly, loving, and sweet. She showers us with "uhwuvuhs" (I love you), hugs, and kisses, and she loves to be held. Recently, I was at the store shopping the meat aisle when Talia reached over and gave me a big hug! It was quite out of the blue and so special! Her tender embraces melt our hearts and bring us such joy. Moody: Everything written above is dependant on mood! Sometimes we ask for or offer said hugs, kisses, and cuddles. Reaction: "NO! Forest Folks: April 2010
http://forestfolks.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 27, 2010. We are reviving the blog, perhaps temporarily, to introduce you to our newest blessing, Elliana Joy. Elliana was born at 5:17 am on April 17. She weighed 8 pounds even and was 21.5 inches long. She shares with Talia the distinction of being called by her doctor, "One of the least jaundiced babies ever." I guess we have pink babies. :). She had the highest Apgar of the evening, according to the Nurse-Midwife who delivered her. Talia, the Big Sister:. Jon, Erin, Talia, and Elliana.

Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Like Daddy Like Daughter. Jon, Erin, Talia, and Elliana. Monday, May 19, 2008. Because of the busyness of the last few weeks, I am definitely behind on blog updates. Talia achieved an important milestone two weeks ago. I will let her shirt speak for me. My attempts at photography leave much to be desired. Talia's shirt reads, "crawling along.". Here are a few more pictures of the events of the last month. Check back in the next few days for our trip to Balboa. Monday, May 5, 2008.

Thursday, June 19, 2008. Tid Bits (Part 1). Below are a few recent adventures the forest folks have experienced. Nothing makes a converted country girl idolize her city roots like a bear at the front door. My love of nature was tempered with a healthy dose of fear. How could I protect my baby against a hungry bear? The bear is between the tree and the wheel barrow. The mess will be explained at a later date. God's timing is perfect. Don't let the photos fool you, this tunnel is quite long. Our trip reall...

Life's Blessings
May you be blessed. Friday, November 1, 2013. Recently, I was reflecting on the response that a friend gives when asked “How are you doing? 8221; or “How are you? The usual response is, “Average.”. I don’t see this friend much anymore, but I think of that person often. Why this particular thing came to mind, I couldn’t say. But it made me think about how we, simply because we are human beings, are never average. Not only do we have tremendous dignity in our humanity, but w. How can that be average? In re...
