Notes From Down Under. 11 July, 2009. Hello friends and family! Last Sunday, as you may know, we celebrated Sophie’s 2. Birthday -which is actually today, but we didn't make a big deal about today. This week Dan is flying in the Outback, and today he visited Uluru, or Ayers rock (the big red monolith in the middle of the country - famous postcard stuff.) So we had the party early. Notes From Down Under. 27 April, 2011. So we should catch up again sometime! Those are just a few of the bits I can remember. She's still going on. she makes me smile. And last week, Dan and I are sitting on the couch one evening. We have some of Sophie's favourite music on for her, and she's dancing. We watch with delight (and maybe with just a few snickers). Monday, May 14, 2012. I have found potatoes to be one of the easiest and most successful crops in my garden in Canberra. Plant, leave, wait till tops die off and dig up a lovely crop of fresh spuds! This year I went through a purple phase in the vegie garden. We planted purple capsicums (fail), purple beans (successful, till the dog ate them all), purple carrots (quite good) and purple potatoes (very successful and yummy). Saturday, March 10, 2012. I'm pretty sure that at age four (or almost four in this case), something clicks inside a little boys brain and he instantly becomes obsessed with lego! Alex showed a little bit of interest in building this set at Christmas time,. And in the last 4 weeks he has been wanting new lego to build everyday! His trains still get a bit of a workout but lego is winning at the moment. We've pulled out this set which I bought for my hubby for Christmas when Alex was just 9 months old.
