The first race two years ago was on a raft built by 4th graders in our Science/STEM class. We even built the oars. This raft successfully transported 5 adults down the river, our principal and 4 teachers. The UnTitanic, 2015. Carnegie Elementary STEM project. We finished 9 miles in about 3 1/2 hours. Between sand bars, but it was still a great time!
