life unedited: Facebook rant
http://lifeunedited.blogspot.com/2011/07/facebook-rant.html
Life love. food. films. Jul 12, 2011. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Home to me is the books I grew up with, and people who get my lame old-TV-show allusions. Home is my family and being surrounded by my own things, not the place where this all comes together. Which is lucky, because i seem to move house every year. View my complete profile.

http://lifeunedited.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Life love. food. films. Jul 14, 2006. They say a mother's love is unconditional. It's probably the most conditional of all. When your baby smiles up at you, that sucker punch to the stomach is the very first time you feel unconditional love. and it's coming right at. You, not from you. A baby knows no one else; there are no comparisons, no higher expectations. You are completely the MOST beautiful, kindest, bravest and most special person in the whole world. All just while being you. And so it begins.
life unedited: "so ... what do you do?"
http://lifeunedited.blogspot.com/2007/12/so-what-do-you-do.html
Life love. food. films. Dec 19, 2007. So what do you do? In the office all day. Gossip in the loo. I'm writing for a living. But it still startles me to hear myself being introduced as a "writer". But it's what i do. It's all i've done for that past 10 years. Good god. ten years. December 21, 2007 10:10 AM. Yes you are :). Such a long time, no? March 02, 2008 2:39 PM. http://lifeunedited.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Life love. food. films. Dec 2, 2005. Funny thing, memory. Your most profound experience, one that you were convinced will always be as vivid when recalled, somehow isn't. This moment, and all its life-changing significance, begins to erode. Before you know it, this definitive moment is clubbed in with the comparatively ho-hum moments of 'back then', or more likely, 'in the beginning'. Because it did change your life. Sitting at the balcony of my parents' house. Home. Just slightly run down, the feeling w...

Life love. food. films. Jul 12, 2011. Homes have been transitioned through:. Spaces online have been transitioned through too:. Facebook got invaded by work 'contacts' and elderly relatives. Twitter timeline was more like google reader - read links, but no engagement, too many real world acquaintances. So closed the twitter account,. Now use facebook for birthday greetings. I thought I wanted anonymity,. But what I really want is an independent group of new friends. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Recipe: Tamarind chicken wings - MadMan Cooks
http://madmancooks.com/2005/08/01/recipe-tamarind-chicken-wings
Recipe: Tamarind chicken wings. August 1, 2005. Want a relatively easy recipe for finger food with an Asian twist at your next cocktail party? Then perhaps this recipe for Tamarind Chicken Wings might fit the bill. It’s my own adaptation of an old Peranakan dish, Ayam Siow. Chicken Wings – 0.5 Kg. Shallots – 4-6. 8211; 4 tbsp (or 2 tbsp tamarind concentrate diluted with 6 tbsp water). Coriander powder – 1 tbsp. Red chilli paste – 1 tsp. Sugar – 4 tbsp. Dark soy sauce – 1 tbsp. Vinegar – 1.5 tbsp. After t...

Tuesday, January 17, 2006. Well, there was a long-ish vacation. Preceded by an alleged promotion in the old office. More on this later, if get into an totally indiscreet frame of mind. The vacation was great because of the inactivity. And the chance to sink my teeth into some really nice food. N and I went to this place called Shiok in Bangalore. Ate till we were full to the gills. The cuisine was Thai, the food tasted really good and it set us back a grand sum of Rs 405. Amazing. And coming back to work.

Thursday, February 16, 2006. Noorbhi's story: Life continues. So the shoot happened. A vital change has happened in the family. Chenna Bazi isn’t after all the good old saviour that he was portraying himself to be. That’s how recce trips are useful to understand a subject at one level and the second trip always unearths new facts. And Noorbhi’s life goes on. She did tell us that if her mother had lived, she would not have had to get married and that she would like to have continued school. It was next to...
but seriously!!: September 2007
http://moulispeak.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 12, 2007. Ok, I'm back for now. It was a co-prod with Population Services International and everyone worked together on this project. It finished on time and within the costs that we intended to spend. And the client is happy! Another project has run into a bit of trouble, but I'm hoping things work out in the next few days. All in all, a reasonably happy place to be in. Posted by Mouli @ 9:51 AM. View my complete profile. Past the halfway mark. Update after an age. We move. Again.

Thursday, August 13, 2009. Seriously, the biggest losers are the ones who have lost themselves. Those who do unethical things but still spout self righteousness. Those sanctimonious, hypocritical gyan dispensers. I pity those with delusions of creativity. Those who make repeated mistakes, yet have the ability to cover it up with a "spin". but seriously!!: November 2007
http://moulispeak.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 13, 2007. A film with Ashley Judd. I knew straight off the bat when I went for the first channel meeting on this film that it wasn’t going to be easy. Apart from the channel, there was the other major stakeholder in the project, PSI and their people and their issues. Then the celebrities and their issues! I was already in the thick of another documentary so I was fairly sure that this film was going to be made by someone else. I went for the recce and met up with people who had been sho...

Tuesday, December 06, 2005. Alice Nakanyike lives in Rakai district. She is the subject of a segment on the film I’m doing on children affected by AIDS. To meet her, we had an hour long drive from Masaka in Uganda. Beyond the town, beyond the highway, and though kilometers of dirt track, we pelted in a convoy of three landcruisers. Posted by Mouli @ 1:05 PM. Saturday, December 03, 2005. A Chaotic African Shoot. Three of us were waiting at the appointed time, early morning at the departure gate of the Mum...

Saturday, September 24, 2005. Noorbhi. Thats her name. When I met her, something told me - she's the one. She's fifteen. She's married and she looks after a kid sister who is all of five. She lost her mother to AIDS a few days ago. Yet, she has a smile on her face. She seems to have dealt with her loss. At work, she had to fight off an attempted rape and that was the end of her days as a child labourer. A distant relative has married her and given her (and her sister) shelter. She's the one. I'm plan...

http://moulispeak.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 15, 2008. One more day. One more scrape. Nothing new. Nothing new. One more chance to learn to deal with it. And learn that some people just stopped growing a long time ago. Nothing new again. Except that I find my balance a lot, lot easier now. Posted by Mouli @ 10:26 AM. Tuesday, January 08, 2008. A new year. A new home - this time our own. A new music system - something that I've wanted since I was so high. A more peaceful place and a more peaceful happiness. Life is good.
but seriously!!: October 2006
http://moulispeak.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 05, 2006. The current place is swank in comparison, but I will miss the wider balcony that the previous place had. And standing under the sky. I'm much into standing the sky. This home has a covered balcony. This place has my M-in-law, B-in-law, and us, all living under the same roof. People already are placing bets on who will start swinging the axe first! No, actually, there may be a bit of sulking now and then, but actual violence? Here's to the future. Posted by Mouli @ 4:59 PM.

Taking on Goliath | founded by ella burnside
Founded by ella burnside. TOG in the Media. In Celebration of Five Years. It was five years ago this month that I began fundraising for The Joyful Heart Foundation. When my freshman English professor assigned me the project that inspired my first fundraiser, I had no idea how big it would all become. I won’t pretend like this has all been an accident, it hasn’t. I had big dreams for my fundraiser. That I wrote for their site. Popcosmo has grown dramatically since I first wrote for them in 2011 and they h...

Life is a gift and the Giver is good. This has been a common saying on the YWAM base here recently, especially as we’ve all been fundraising for outreach. There have been some incredible breakthroughs on our school for finances and it’s been so good to see how faithful God is to each of His children. He loves to give. I reckon it’s one of His top love languages. He loves to lavish on His children the things that we need. God is always in a good mood and He will always do what is best for us. I’ve b...

Our arrival in Frankfurt was a whirlwind of activity. The concert included Ravel. Valse Nobles et Sentimentales. Some locks on the Eiserner Stag. We spe...
