Me at Kings College Hosptial in London awaiting a Liver Transplant. Cheeky monkey and his friend - wooden rabbit. What I wasn't told at this stage, but was told a few months after transplant is that I probably only had 30 days left! Even I was shocked the first time to saw these photos, as I didn't feel that ill. I was still joking and laughing. Even some of the doctors couldn't belivie how positive I was. A small boat on the big ocean (Croyde, Devon, UK). One, two, three daisies in the grass.

What is AutoImmune Hepatitis? What does the liver do? What are the different types of autoimmune hepatitis? Who does it affect more, males or females? How much is known of the disease? Is it a common illness or is it a rare, much undiscovered disease? What types of problems are likely to happen with this type of disease? How is it treated? What do the drugs do and how do they help? Will I ever come off the drugs? What can I do, and what can't I do if I have AIH? Will transplantation be needed?

Life with a Holland Accent

Life with a Holland Accent. The Daily Antics of Motherhood and Childhood. Saturday, November 3, 2012. The Dreaded Full Moon. It doesn't happen on every full moon, but it happens enough to make me cringe a little when I see it is going to be a full moon. I'm talking about a sleepless night in my house. I hear other moms talk about crazy things that happen at their homes as well on full moons, but mine takes the cake this time. That was when Ezra decided to wake up for the first time that night. At this po...

Life with AIDS | notes from a multimedia journalism project

Notes from a multimedia journalism project. The following is an excerpt from avert.org describing the AIDS in the South:. Poverty, poor access to healthcare relative to the rest of the country, a focus on abstinence based sex education, and laws that criminalise HIV transmission and restrict harm reduction programmes for IDUs are some of the factors which explain why the risk of becoming infected with HIV and dying from AIDS is highest in the South. The report goes on to say,. The most AIDS deaths,.

Life With AJ

This blog will mostly be about my son who has autism. But from time to time I will write about me. A lot of times I find it helpful to write down my feelings when I don't have anyone to talk to. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Having two small very active boys, a husband, a house to keep, and a growing photography business leaves me almost no time to update this blog. I'm going to try to update it at least once a month (probably around the last week) so here goes. We go for AJ's IEP on Monday, so that should ...

Life with a Jaimo

Life with a Jaimo. Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Sara and I took a Mommy trip to Scottsdale over Memorial day weekend this year. It was amazing, fantastic, fabulous, relaxing, did I mention it was AWESOME? We had so much fun! In fact we have started planning the next girls weekend for next summer! We had a long weekend filled with cocktails, pool time, shopping, eating, and silence. No one yelling "MOMMY! By the end of the weekend we were itching to see our kiddos and hubbies, but what a great time! Spent lo...
