Mini Me: April 2013
http://juniorjoe.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
The Tales From The Crib. Friday, April 12, 2013. Pretty much, an epic fail all the way around. Let's be real. Preschoolers have the attention span of an ant. Here are a few things we tried:. 2 Ping Pong with paper plates, popsicle sticks, and a balloon. Yep, that lasted such a short time that there are no photos. Know why else? Because they thought it was more fun to tear off the popsicle stick from the paper plate and make me re-hot glue it. 3 We cooked. They didn't eat it. Twice. I assured him that it ...

Lilypie - Kids Birthday. Lilypie - Kids Birthday. Thursday, January 30, 2014. Sara turned 18 months old on December 11. At her check-up, she weighed 23 lbs 6 oz and measured 32 inches tall, which was around the 50th percentile for both. (I checked back on Anna's stats at this age and they're pretty much the exact same size, within a couple of ounces. This is great news for all the hand-me-downs I've been saving! So what's Sara doing now? She's running around like crazy! Turns out the laid-back baby we th...

Mini Me: December 2012

The Tales From The Crib. Friday, December 21, 2012. There is always so much to say about Christmas that I decided I better get a head start on our pre-December 25th activities. We pick up where we left off with the weekend after Thanksgiving. We have a wonderful photographer that offered only two first-come-first-serve opportunities to go and cut down your own Christmas tree and she would photograph the experience. There is something about my competitive nature that screamed, "Only two! We must do this!

Lilypie Fourth Birthday tickers. Lilypie First Birthday tickers. Sunday, December 25, 2011. Christmas morning was fun this year, although I think she wasn't really sure what to expect. Lu knew Santa was coming and that he brought toys, but when she saw everything it was a little overwhelming. I also think it had something to do with not seeing a pink guitar. Oh well, a good life lesson: you don't always get what you want. Pretty close to losing it. Hello Kitty under ware. Warming up to the guitar. Momma ...

Mini Me: June 2013
http://juniorjoe.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
The Tales From The Crib. Friday, June 14, 2013. The Summer Chronicles, Part I. Of course, the last day of school was also very sentimental because it was the last day of Preschool. We are starting the non-optional my mom can't take me out whenever she wants "real school." It is hard to believe that we will have a Kindergartener. People have asked me if I am sad, and I really believe the answer is no. I think he will bloom. She took great care of my little man for me and made a lasting impression on him.

Mini Me: February 2014
http://juniorjoe.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The Tales From The Crib. Sunday, February 9, 2014. We make it home to find that half of the neighborhood has been stopped in their tracks right in front of our house. Poor twin mamma was not getting her nap because we are now all at her house for our snow party watching people try to drive up our road. Not working so well. So, did we play in the snow? Happy for a moment. We found Spencer swinging in the swing. His entire face chapped and red from the cold and wind. He looks up and says, "Can we g...That ...

Lilypie - Kids Birthday. Lilypie - Kids Birthday. Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Anna turned 5 years old on July 30. We went for her annual check-up and she weighed 35.5 lbs and was 3'4" tall, between the 10th and 25th percentiles for both. Still on track to be about 5'3" as an adult according to the doctor. Here's a little more about Anna at age 5: 1. She's reading! She also still has quite the sweet tooth, and therefore loves Yogurt Mountain and The Whole Scoop. 6. She's decided that she would rat...Anna ...

Lilypie - Kids Birthday. Lilypie - Kids Birthday. Monday, November 25, 2013. Our Halloween fun started the night before the big day with our annual pumpkin carving. (Here's a pic just to prove I was there. Apparently, by the end of the day, I look like someone has run me over with the car a few times! Anna's favorite part: getting the "guts" out! We kept Sara happy by feeding her a chocolate-coverd marshmallow pumpkin. I'm gonna win mother of the year for that one! But, hey- she looks happy, doesn't she?

Lilypie - Kids Birthday. Lilypie - Kids Birthday. Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Anna's last dance recital with Ms. Cindy at St. Peter's was April 24. As always, the costume was a surprise until right before the show and it was a big hit this year- sparkly pink with a tiara! Anna with her best buddy, Anna Grace. Anna's class performed three numbers: The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Happy, and (shocker! Let It Go (the hip Demi Lovato version). Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Proud of our little gymnast!
