The Van Alstine Family: July 2014
http://thevanalstines.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 31, 2014. Dylan updated my countdown for me before I came downstairs this morning. Tomorrow we depart for 9 days in Hawaii! It's been a little stressful preparing, packing, organizing, planning and booking everything. It'll be Luke's first flight ever, and Dylan's longest. As soon as we have landed in Hawaii, and hopefully had a successful flight, I will be able to relax! I find it funny and somewhat annoying at how much more I need to do to prepare. My to-do list for today:. It was really...

The Van Alstine Family: **Not Censored** Uptown Funk
http://thevanalstines.blogspot.com/2015/04/not-censored-uptown-funk.html
Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Not Censored* Uptown Funk. Luke loves to sing. Normally we listen to the country station in my car since Dylan was pointing out how many "bad words" were in the songs on the regular pop station. So I'm not sure where Luke heard this song (ahem, Dad.). But he loves the song Uptown Funk. And it's pretty hilarious to hear him sing it. Excuse his messy face, he had just had a chocolate cupcake for dessert! April 15, 2015 at 12:58 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 160; It...

The Van Alstine Family: June 2014
http://thevanalstines.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 28, 2014. Ahh, we've been waiting for you. Summer is by far my favorite season. I would gladly give up snow, rain and even the beauty of Fall for sunshine and warmer weather year-round. I could definitely get used to living someplace with warmer weather all the time. Any chance of a sunny day, I get so excited to enjoy it's warmth, and the time we get to spend outside. Water balloons with Dad. I'm gonna get you, Mom! They fill my heart with love each day. Kid takes after me for sure. It's ...

The Van Alstine Family: March 2015
http://thevanalstines.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Mukilteo Beach and Lighthouse. When you live in the Pacific Northwest for your ENTIRE life and realize there's so much you've never seen or done, it can be depressing. One of those things was Mukilteo beach. I'd seen many people take photos there (including my sister for their Engagement photos) so I knew it was due time to check it out. Got some cute photos though ;-). Every boys favorite- rock throwing. Such a cute view. Thursday, March 5, 2015. Weight: 29.5-30 lbs. Love readin...

Sings the ABC's and can recognize the letters K, U, X, O, C and W. Some of my favorite sayings via Luke: My. What in your mouth? Responds with "yup", I made dat (I made that, he's very proud of all his projects and art work). He'll respond, "pleaseyou'rewelcome". He gets in t...

The Van Alstine Family: Loose teeth
http://thevanalstines.blogspot.com/2015/04/loose-teeth.html
Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Dylan has lost a total of 5 teeth now! The tooth fairy has been busy recently! In addition to the tooth he lost when he was 1.5, he's had 4 wiggly ones that have fallen out. He lost 3 pretty closely together, two in February and one in March. Now he's missing his two front teeth on the top! The last one he lost I had tried to pull out a few times, after I had him ice it on a popsicle, but the thing wouldn't come out! Thursday, June 6, 2013. An "Under the Sea" Birthday Party. The day after the girls turned 6 we had a birthday party for them at home. They chose a few friends and family members to invite and we decided on an "Under the Sea" theme. I love working with themes. It makes everything more fun! I had a lot of fun with the food! Fish and chips" (gold fish and potato chips). Octodogs" (hotdogs with "tentacles" sliced before boiling). Seashells and cheese" (homemade macaroni and cheese with shell pasta). I am Kat...

Kinsers: First Beach Trip 2013
http://twinserkins.blogspot.com/2013/06/first-beach-trip-2013.html
Friday, June 7, 2013. First Beach Trip 2013. The friday before Memorial Day we were visiting my parents in Escondido and decided to go to the beach. We went to Tamarack beach in Carlsbad and it wasn't very busy and we got a parking spot right next to the sand. Everything was perfect except for the breeze. The breeze was COLD! It was sunny and beautiful, but just a little chillier than I like at the beach. Russell took the big kids in to walk around in the water anyhow. The twins loved it. I am Katie, a s...
