Life With Mrs. E : March 2014

http://lifewithmrse.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 20, 2014. In the Name of Science! So even though today was the first day of Spring, and we pry should be admiring any blooms that are coming instead of destroying them.but we just couldn't help ourselves! We've begun our new inquiry into how the structures of plants and animals help them to survive. We began with a concept cartoon that the students examined and chose the statement they most agreed with, of course they had to support their choice with reason. Wednesday, March 12, 2014.

Life With Mrs. E : April 2014

http://lifewithmrse.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 2, 2014. So this week we have begun testing. I haven't posted lately because it seems that our focus has shifted to preparing for that. It's a little ridiculous in my opinion. I truly hate standardized testing. What does it assess? Does it assess how well they understand and APPLY their learning? Does it assess the gains they've made over the year? It is a peek into how well they perform- one day-on one test. Really? Okay- off my soapbox and time to meditate. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Life With Mrs. E : November 2013

http://lifewithmrse.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 12, 2013. So let's break it down. Listening: We are doing our Tune Up Tuesday today. This is where I find a song that generally fits with the year's theme of being proud of who you are. So today it is Katy Perry's Roar. They are going to be excited! Loving: Chris Van Allsburg- who doesn't? He is an amazing author that has helped my guide my class in questioning and thinking through the text. Such a great mentor author. That's pretty much my take on it right now. Ugh! After modeling, I s...

365 at the Zoo: June 2013

http://365zoo.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 24, 2013. Okay- I'm going for it! Whole 30 here we come! Last summer I did the 100 Days of Real Food challenge. This was a great challenge that sparked my interest into what I fed my body. I complete the challenge and felt amazing, I had lost weight, was no longer bloated, and just didn't have that run-down feeling I got from eating a lot of fast food. Good-bye Diet Coke. Good-bye margaritas. Good- bye yogurt. But hello to a healthy, completely cleaned out me! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

365 at the Zoo: Adventureland

http://365zoo.blogspot.com/2013/07/adventureland.html

Saturday, July 27, 2013. So as I stated in previous post we had spent the weekend in Adventureland. Now I didn't stop, nor am I going to start over on day 1 (that is just crazy! But I am not counting those days on vacation. I did the best that I could while at the parks and out in a new town, but since I am not 100% certain on the ingredients I am not counting those days into our Whole 30. I can share what we ate or did to help make it easier. Dinner was at the Raccoon River Brewing company. It had a...

365 at the Zoo: A New Start

http://365zoo.blogspot.com/2013/08/a-new-start.html

Monday, August 12, 2013. So we have begun this week, again, with modified paleo/clean eating plan. The weekdays we are staying mostly palea (2/3 at the least), with occasional cheese/dairy if needed. The weekends are a bit more flexible and are more of what you would classify as clean eating, where we allow for grains, beans, and alcohol. So on the menu for this week:. Monday: Crockpot Chicken Taco salads. Friday: Lemon Orange Chicken. Monday and Tuesday: Salmon Cakes. Carrots, avocado, fruit.

365 at the Zoo: Day 19

http://365zoo.blogspot.com/2013/07/day-19.html

Saturday, July 27, 2013. So I am playing catch-up today. I've been away and didn't get on to post or even check email- ahhh the serenity of no technology! So here we go-. Breakfast was.sweet potato and banana mash with scrambled egg. Lunch- we were at the zoo today- did I mention we have the coolest zoo ever! I packed in my lunch of leftover fajita chicken salad with cilantro lime dressing and a banana. Totally perfect for this gorgeous day! Dinner: was hamburger and veggies - no pic. Labels: On The Town.

365 at the Zoo: Day 21- Epic Fail

http://365zoo.blogspot.com/2013/07/day-21-epic-fail.html

Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Day 21- Epic Fail. But as I have reflected the past few days that is alright. We have gained some serious insight into what food does and has done to our bodies. Even though we were a few days short I am not going to have us start over, we are just going to end there and transition into a more sustainable lifestyle for us. We are going to go about an 85/15 paleo/clean and then what I will call a "US" diet. I am a huge fan of Food Babe. And 100 Days of Real Food. Or make my own.

Tuesday, January 11, 2011. January 11, 2011. We spent the day building forts and making snowcakes. These were taken indoors at night with a lightscoop. Speedlite is coming! I will pry go in an adjust the white balance, but really the composition is poor and I was admittedly just trying to get a post up this week. Settings 1/200 f4.0 ISO 800. January 9th, 2011. Sunday, March 20, 2011. March 20, 2011. Building a triple cup straw. I like practicing on nothing at all. I actually get some good exposures, but when I go out then its all over. March 18th. Here comes the zoo pics. I only go here about a million times during the summer. So you'll be seeing a lot of zoo pics. Some may be mom shots, but who are we kidding I am a mom so whatever I am not even thinking about making money off my "skills" (if you can call it that). Any tips on shooting inside a water tank?

http://365zoo.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 27, 2012. Weird combo I know, but that is how I roll. Last night we had the best grilled steaks and tomatoes. I found a. On pinterest for grilled garlic tomatoes, but there wasn't any real amounts and actually I am not a thyme fan. So of course I had to change it up to work for us. We are still doing the clean eating so this recipe fell in perfectly. Paired with some organic strips from the cow we purchased from my uncle it was amazing! 5 tsp minced garlic. Sprinkling of sea salt. Oh well,...

Life with a child can be interesting. Life with Landon is always interesting. Friday, April 16, 2010. The Death of the Dumb F*ck. I won't be able to laugh at the looks of horror of the customers in the store when he sees stacks of them in the toy aisles and yells, "Look my mom, dumb f*cks! I can no longer comfort him when he accidentally engages the motion sensor and whines, "Dumb f*ck scare me! It is a sad day here. My little boy is growing up. Sniff, sniff. Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Me, My MS and I | My life with MS

Me, My MS and I. A Cuddle For Your Stick. I’ve been dreadfully neglectful by not writing any new posts for a while. I started Tysabri in July and have a couple of posts written on that which’ll appear soon. Service has returned to normal 😉. I spotted a stick holder at the counter of a train station the other day which I’ve used in the past to hold my stick whilst I pay for my ticket, but forgot to take a picture of! I remembered the other day, as I wanted to add it to a blog post. 6 years, 4 months ago.
