Life with the Burnham Family. Monday, April 27, 2015. Two weeks ago, we had a lovely celebration of my grandpa's 99 years. A few pictures to remember. The boys were so well behaved! They asked good questions and were generally curious about the entire process. A lunch celebration at Merichka's in Joliet. This was one of my grandpa's favorite places to eat. Poorboy sandwiches drowning in garlic butter were his favorite. Ended up stopping for ice cream at a famous spot on Route 66. Cousin Matt and our boys.

He was never very excited about T-ball, but he's always excited to put on his soccer uniform and go practice. Friday, May 30, 2014. Adin was having a little trouble getting to sleep. I offered to play one of our CDs that help the boys relax at bedtime, either "The Sleep Fairy" or Putomayo Lullabies. He said "no, I'm too old for that." Pierce my heart, why don't you?

Adin was eager and Erik was willing, until he saw what we were putting in the bowl - coffee, butter and oatmeal? Once we started forming the balls, he recognized them and remembered how good they are. Adin did not want to wait until the photo shoot was done to sample the product. Happy helpers. I'm saving the leftover cocoa sugar mix. I think it would be good on lefse.
