Unfortunately there were fire restrictions because of the drought so no campfire for us. It was really the only bad part about this trip. We made the best of it though. Life with the Cummings. Sunday, August 24, 2014. Dad's 60th and Family in Town. This weekend, my brother and sister flew in (from Novato and Chicago) and surprised my dad for his 60th Birthday. My dad had no clue they were coming. Dana and I made arrangements to head north to help my dad with his house on Friday evening. Little did he know that he would have more than just the two of us to help him out that evening. Here's a video of them surprising him. Alisa also stained some beams. Zach hard at work.

Saturday evening, the kids took the kayaks back out on the lake and Aiyana decided to take a stab at riding one all on her own. I love how these images of her turned out. Life with the Cummings. Monday, December 29, 2014. We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. The picture below says it all. The cousins spent a lot of time playing together and the laughter never ceased. On Christmas Eve the kids opened a few gifts from Tom. The girls got American Girl Doll Puppies. And a big princess tent. They really enjoyed playing in the tent. It is large enough to fit all of them. plus Nana. Wonder if these kids were naughty or nice enough for Santa? Our family on Christmas.

That's right, there is a scorpion in the middle of them. Creeps me out! Ben tried to get me to get one too. He even tried the, "you won't be able to say you've eaten a scorpion".
