Before Now | Life With the Lundays

Life With the Lundays. Here’s what’s happened in our lives up to this point:. This year, our first full year as a married couple, was wonderful (and just plain FULL)! Traveled together on several business trips for Jake’s job, visiting places like Cincinnati, OH; Lima, OH; Knoxville, TN; and St. Louis, MO. Made friends with a couple our age (surprisingly, a huge achievement and a major answer to prayer)! Searched for a church and finally found one that was right for us. Got the ball rolling on prosthetic...

Posted in Everyday Life. January 19, 2012. On the way into the park, we saw several deer grazing on the roadside. We were amazed by how calm they were...

Life With the Lundays. All You, Featuring Me. Puppy Love →. April 28, 2012. I am back after an extensive (but much needed) hiatus. At the beginning of February, Jake accepted a job in another state. He closed things out at his previous job and spent a week doing a bit of Navy work at the NOSC (his last opportunity to drill at that location) while I took care of our last bits of household and local business. Then, just as February was 2/3 over, we moved. Posted in Everyday Life. April 28, 2012 at 6:25 PM.

Ackerman Antics: Hoppy Easter!
http://ackermanantics.blogspot.com/2015/04/hoppy-easter.html
Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Bean got to eat a cupcake to celebrate April's Birthday! She was loving it! Bean got really attached to Gabbie. She loved playing kitchen with her.). While I was running, I thought about all the years I've been on that track for gym class and activities in school. In that 1 instance of running 4.5 miles, I'm convinced that was the most running I've ever done on that track throughout my entire 13 years at that school (kind of a cool feeling! Girls dyeing the eggs together! We each...

Saturday, March 28, 2015. Indiana Visit and A Really Bad Day. A couple weekends ago, we headed in to Indiana for the first time since Christmas (which is too long in my book)! We were headed back so that I could judge in the annual piano contest that I've been involved with since I was young. I've been back to be a judge for the past 4-5 years and always have a good time doing it. She loved all the attention! Oliver - 15 months, Emily - 11, Allie - almost 9, Bean - 17 months,. Steve held Bean in the fron...

Monday, March 30, 2015. Out of the Gate. Who says kids need toys? These milk jugs provided hours of fun. We had been saving them for sap season; however, the winter/spring weather has been to crazy to have a consistent sap season so we called it quits before the tapping happened.). And when the milk jugs are recycled, full Powerade bottles will suffice. These had an extra element of fun - getting them out of the cabinet and carrying them one by one to the steps.). Her toys have recently upgraded to an ol...

Monday, November 17, 2014. Bean Update - 13 months! 1 year old is a very FUN age! Bean just hit 13 months old yesterday! She seems to have grown a ton this month. I don't have her actual weight and height, but can tell by how her clothes are fitting and picking her up. She currently wears size 18 months, but that's quickly becoming too small! She's ready for the next size - 24 months? How is she this big? She's not walking yet, but she's getting so close! For naps, we've dropped the morning nap. It w...

http://ackermanantics.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. I am still running! I have consistently ran 3 times a week for the past 8 weeks. For anyone who knows me - that is a HUGE accomplishment. This is by far, the longest I've stuck to some sort of exercise regimen. I can actually say that I. Tolerate running. I don't like thinking about doing it, but when I'm out there doing it, I don't mind it (but boy am I always happy to be done! In the past 2 months I've logged almost 50 miles! I have lost zero weight since I've started this e...
Ackerman Antics: Indy Weekend Getaway
http://ackermanantics.blogspot.com/2015/04/indy-weekend-getaway.html
Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Last weekend, we headed to Indiana on Friday afternoon. We hung out Friday night at my parents' house. On Saturday morning, however, we left Bean with my parents and we headed south for a little child-less getaway! Steve did all the planning (it wasn't a surprise though, I knew all that was happening). Our morning started off with a bike tour of Indy along the Cultural Trail. We met at 10am the Bikeshare. So it was just Steve and I and our amazing tour guide Daniel! I got the stu...
Ackerman Antics: July 2014
http://ackermanantics.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2014. Last week, we were finally able to have cousins come visit! My sister and her three little girls came to spend a few days at chez Ackerman. We had plans of going and visiting a local water park (which we've tried to do for the past 2 years); but yet again it didn't happen. Even though it is the end of July, the weather was in the low 70s - not water weather! Shared playing with Bean! Pete's Ice Cream had a fundraising event that involved Christmas decorations, Santa in a summer out...

Thursday, August 28, 2014. It's that time again. . . Who does Bean look like? Bean - apparently dad and daughter were both hams while eating). Steve - notice how he's playing with a measuring cup? Despite the look of hatred on Bean's face, she loves playing with measuring cups! It's one of her favorite toys). Bean monkeying around, also known as all mealtimes). Steve with his dad). Bean chilling, just with a little more diva in her). Lindsey laying with pacifier). Bean hanging out with hers). So I've elu...
