life with the wild bears: March 2011
http://lifewiththewildbears.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Life with the wild bears. Kids and yarn, by the sea. Wednesday, 30 March 2011. A quick coffee and a ginger snap for me before Miss T and myself return to our marathon clean-up. I have been cleaning my house for three days so far and I have not finished yet. Three days! I should say here that this is more in the nature of a Spring Clean, rather than the weekly (fortnightly! It will last precisely four minutes once they are home from school. In the meantime I intend to revel in a tidy room. Aah, I thought.

http://lifewiththewildbears.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Life with the wild bears. Kids and yarn, by the sea. Monday, 27 June 2011. This is me, stripey feet up in the garden. Too hot to do jobs, too hot to crochet, too hot to manage four kids at the beach. I bought a new paddling pool, in which the water is now a disturbing grey colour. The bears are happy though. I may join them.x. Links to this post. Friday, 24 June 2011. Things to do with a pillowcase, part 2. Make a bag. From Martha Stewart's new sewing book. Good for crochet too. Links to this post. Yeste...

Life with the wild bears. Kids and yarn, by the sea. Tuesday, 30 August 2011. W, up a hill, taking it easy (and ignoring Miss T pooing in her knickers. Twice. And Toot and I having to clear her up with one tissue until a helpful and much amused Random Dad stepped in with a packet of wipes and a nappy bag. Bless you kind sir). Waiting for the Cascade. Paddling at Chatsworth. I wanted to do this last time we went, but we weren't allowed. So Much Fun! Holes to peer through. Princesses and castles and. I lov...

Life with the wild bears. Kids and yarn, by the sea. Friday, 27 May 2011. Beachiness and bad barbecues. It has been a busy busy week for us, and I have only just had time to sit down and write about last weekend. We had some friends over with their scrummy baby and took a Sunday trip to the beach. Let's have a barbie, we said, the weather's been great, we said, let's eat up the last of the wagyu beef on the beach, we said. 4 children on foot. 1 baby in a large buggy. 2 bags of clothes. 1 bag of shoes.

The Loopy Hooker: Heart bag pattern - heartsease
http://theloopyhooker.blogspot.com/2013/02/heart-bag-pattern-heartsease.html
One woman, a stick and some yarn. Saturday, 9 February 2013. Heart bag pattern - heartsease. This is a little bag pattern which I have devised in order to make heart-shaped bags for a charity event, (details of which are below the pattern). You can use whatever hook and yarn you prefer. Obviously, a small hook and thin yarn will yield a small bag, whereas a large hook and chunky yarn will make a larger bag. I used an 8mm hook and extra chunky yarn, which made a bag measuring 6 inches across. Row 14a - Ch...
The Loopy Hooker: Bring it on, 2013!!
http://theloopyhooker.blogspot.com/2013/01/bring-it-on-2013.html
One woman, a stick and some yarn. Saturday, 26 January 2013. Bring it on, 2013! My, oh my! How the bloomin' heck can it be 2013 already? Time really does fly. whether you're having fun or not! At the last count, I had ten WIPs in my basket*, which is a few too many, I feel. I have a bit if a problem with having too many ideas and not enough hands to hook with! I also have a bit of a yarn addiction - not sure if anyone can relate to that? Basket = strewn in corners in bags. Devon, United Kingdom. You may ...
The Loopy Hooker: Sunshine on a cloudy day... and a delivery... :)
http://theloopyhooker.blogspot.com/2012/07/sunshine-on-cloudy-day-and-delivery.html
One woman, a stick and some yarn. Tuesday, 17 July 2012. Sunshine on a cloudy day. and a delivery. :). As you can see from the first photo, the sun has been out this week! Yes, it was only for a day, but it was such a beautiful one, which brought with it some dramatic skies. I don't think the hubby is too pleased that the sun has been out, because along with sitting on the doorstep, I have been doing this. When I should have been doing this. Ah, well, what can I say? Make into a poncho? The Law of Crochet.

One woman, a stick and some yarn. Saturday, 21 July 2012. Mog's Rainbow Baby Blanket - Pattern. Right, as promised, here is the pattern for Mog's rainbow baby blanket. This was my first ever crochet design, and apart from my slightly wonky edges, (it was only the second or third thing I had ever crocheted), I am very, very proud of it! I hope you enjoy making yours as much as I did mine. Oh, and please don't be put off by the ruffled edge. it is surprisingly easy! UK terms are used. US terms in [italics]).

The Loopy Hooker: March 2012
http://theloopyhooker.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
One woman, a stick and some yarn. Sunday, 11 March 2012. I had to start a crochet blog. There is no way I can keep all of these ideas, designs etc to myself and the hubby is sick to death of me talking about crochet. Say the word once, and his eyes will glaze over. Say it twice and he'll twitch. Say it three times, and we're talking full-blown seizure territory. For some reason, this time around it has all clicked and now I am hooked! Pun intended and made with no apologies.). It is going to be a cowl/sn...

One woman, a stick and some yarn. Wednesday, 11 July 2012. Rainbows, stripes and grannies! Firstly, apologies for it being so long since my last (and only! Post My router blew up during a storm a few months ago - it really did go 'BANG! And it has taken me a stupidly long time to sort out obtaining a new one. I haven't stopped hooking, in fact I've been doing a lot more, and I am enjoying it more than ever! I have definitely found my 'thang', after a long time looking. This is my Attic24-inspired 'Rainbo...

Life at the White House
Life at the White House. Sunday, May 30, 2010. I love that he has that attitude. There is no point in him thinking he is going to win in his rookie year. He had to be taken off the track because he broke the steering spindle. Scott and some other parents were able to fix the car so that Logan could get into the feature race still. He was having a lot of problems with the steering but managed to finish the race. His arms and shoulders were very sore though. Logan before the race. Logan, dad and Jeff.

life with the wild bears
Life with the wild bears. Kids and yarn, by the sea. Friday, 16 September 2011. The big 70s blanket of great brown-ness is still on the hook. I knocked a third off the finished size of it in order to actually finish it one day, so now I'm in the home straight. I have 16 four round grannies left to make, then it is sewing in the ends (not looking forward to that) and joining. In between squares I have finished a few other things too. More of those to come. Must update my Ravelry pages too. Holes to peer t...
