Life Without a Gall Bladder. Thursday, October 9, 2008. It's been a bit since i last updated. the good news is, my scar is finally done draining. since monday i've even left the house without gauze on it. Things still move slowly. i saw my surgeon last thursday and he said in spite of the drainage, i seemed to be healing well. i still can't lift things for a few more weeks yet if i don't want to risk a hernia. Improvement though too. there's hope that eventually i'll feel completely like myself again.

Life Without a Gall Bladder. Saturday, September 27, 2008. As if i haven't overanalyzed my scar enough. I think it's finally done bleeding! Today the piece of medical tape that was covering up the source of the blood (which I didn't want to yank at for fear of making things worse) came off on its own accord. There was a pool of blood behind it, which I cleaned up with peroxide, but once I sat still, it totally scabbed over. Life Without a Gall Bladder. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). It's been a bit since i last updated. the good news is, my scar is finally done draining. since monday i've even left the house without gauze on it. Life Without a Gall Bladder. Sunday, September 21, 2008. This morning, though, i drove for the first time in 3 weeks. my car was not happy about driving after sitting still for 3 weeks, but we made it. it was half a mile to church and back. i'm still not up to wearing a seatbelt across my scar. instead i have a giant fluffy pillow that i hold against my abdomen to brace against any roughness in the road. Apparently i'm learning patience, and thankfulness for the help of friends. :). On to weightier issues.
