I don't mean tungsten, daylight etc. Rather, more generally, the broad forms of lighting which can result in a final image? It's obvious, but I think it still bears thinking about:. 2 Ambient minus Controllable Ambient. 3 Ambient minus Controllable Ambient plus Flash. 2 Ambient minus Controllable Ambient. So what can this mean?

One of the hot items this Christmas was the collage photograph. And why not, it's great way to capture moments better than any single photograph can. Here's an example of one collage I did this Christmas for a client. This was matted on a thick double weight mat board which makes this easy to hang with 3M Velcro. Wall hangers, or even display on a small easel.

Monday, May 31, 2010. Settings: Background is properly exposed, flash into 1.5 meter softlighter II to camera right, with the light meter at face level powered to expose properly. One thing I could have done, and did do for a later shot, is add a rim light.
