Flight: Good stuff
http://worldinherhands.blogspot.com/2008/11/good-stuff.html
Sunday, November 02, 2008. 1 I have a new job, and while it isn't so fantastical that I won't be looking for something that makes more use of my background, it is a step-up from where I am right now. 2 I just got the best haircut I've had in more than two years. 3 All but a one of my boxes made the trip from Mokpo. While I can't find lots of small but important-to-me things, opening up the boxes that DID make it brought me so much joy! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Message to Sarah Palin. This video is making the rounds on several feminist blogs, and I think it is important. Nice i approve that message :). Flight: Misc.
http://worldinherhands.blogspot.com/2009/01/misc.html
Saturday, January 17, 2009. 1 I'm officially signed up for the Indianapolis Mini-marathon (a half marathon during 500 weekend) training program through my gym. The first meeting is next week, training runs start the week after. 3 It's COLD, yo. Canada, please take back your air. 4 THREE DAY WEEKEND, FTW. 5 I'm looking at apartments. The one I saw today would have been reasonable IF utilities were paid OR it was $50-100 less. And if it didn't smell funny. Like bad pipes funny. BOO. View my complete profile.

Thursday, October 09, 2008. What do you think would happen if the whole world could vote? This article from the San Francisco Gate/Chronicle gives some answers. I don't think anyone is surprised that most of the world would vote in favor of Obama, but even I was surprised at the landslide they postulate. Also, McCain's "That One". Comment has had rather an impact. Are you kidding me? Hope you're well. Still miss you lots. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Message to Sarah Palin.

Flight: 1/2 marathon training!!
http://worldinherhands.blogspot.com/2009/01/12-marathon-training.html
Thursday, January 22, 2009. Tonight was the orientation meeting for the 1/2 marathon training program I'm doing through my gym! The representative from The Runner's Forum is awesome and gave me a little stick of body glide to see if it would help with the blisters I'm getting on the bottom of my feet (I bought my shoes there a few months ago) FOR FREE after checking to make sure they fit right! Another reason why local running stores rock. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
Ms Parker in Korea!: February 2006
http://msparkerinkorea.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Ms Parker in Korea! Sunday, February 26, 2006. Okay, okay, it's been a while. It's been too long since I added an entry here. Sorry! A lot has been happening, and I've got so much to tell! I went to Toronto last week to a) sign my contract and figure out when I am leaving, b) visit my friend Kat and c) shop (Yes, we went to H&M). I know where and when I'm leaving. sort of. Ms Parker in Korea! Wednesday, September 27, 2006. I rode Red Devil. Then rode her home again in the afternoon. Then back to school again. Happily, I picked the time when. Every single 18-wheeler in Korea. A man leaned out the passenger side window of the car he was in and kept waving and saying "Hi! And wouldn't stop until I waved back. Thankfully, he didn't continue with the rest of the ritual ("How are you, I'm fine thank you. Where are you from? How old are you? Mom arrives in 2 more sleeps! Just got...
Ms Parker in Korea!: August 2006
http://msparkerinkorea.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Ms Parker in Korea! Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Teacher of the Year! As illegal as this might seem at first glance, it's only some mint tobacco in a Moroccan cafe in Singapore. Be sure to take a look at Theresa Chan's link for more illicit-ish photos. The hammock pic, however, speaks for itself. Posted by Ms Parker at 4:04 PM. Monday, August 28, 2006. Tae Kwon Do, Jakob, Mr Shane and Marley. Tonight was my first TKD class. I learned some stances, a few blocks, punches and kicks too. Yesterday, I got to m...

Miss the old site? So do we, but fear not, the old Lightenna.com site. Is still preserved for posterity. Getting Started in the DevOps space. The Development-Operations world is a wash with some fantastic tools, but sometimes getting started can be too great an impediment to realise the 'DevOps' efficiency promise. Serverless promises a world without low-level worries, but what's it like at scale? We can't find the DevOps people. Do we already have the DevOps people? VR, wow. now what?

Enough Light | "In faith there is enough light for those who want to believe and enough shadows to blind those who don't." – Blaise Pascal
I’d like to believe, but…. In faith there is enough light for those who want to believe and enough shadows to blind those who don't. – Blaise Pascal. Is deliberate childlessness moral rebellion? Light Enough to Travel. Afoot and light-hearted I take to the open road, Healthy, free, the world before me, The long brown path before me leading wherever I choose." Walt Whitman. I broke the windows of the logging company just to get a little release. I had to throw down my accordion to get away from the police. It’s go time. Yes, Warriors, YES! With light enough for one step at a time
With light enough for one step at a time. Tuesday, December 7, 2010. I want to write a book. I want to get paid to sit in coffee shops and watch people interact. I want to be a connoisieur of Christmas ales and coffees as well as white wines and fancy cheeses. I want to create. I want to cook well. I want to travel. I want to meet people who want to travel together. I want to become a better giver. Tuesday, November 23, 2010. My life swings in seasons. To bring heaven to earth in any way possible? I thin...
