What I learned from teens and two year olds. Learning with young adults. I remember working with a group of teenage girls and wanting to give them a Christmas gift. I decided to write them a poem. Here it is:. A Place of Rest. When I met the goddess, Rest, she promised me years of peaceful slumber. I slumbered, seeking peace through Rest. I had neither the energy nor desire to harvest the fruit of Pleasure. The goddess of Pleasure let me lie undisturbed. I grew indifferent to everything and everyone.

Saturday, 10 September 2011. Just a little scrappen. I spent yesterday trying to make a few pages happen, but ended up so frustrated as I simply couldn't get my head around, working with bright colours. I have new Photos of Holly laying on a bright green play mat and try as I might , I wasn't able to put a page together that pleased me. I wonder if other people struggle to make a layout when they are working in bright paper. It looks as though I had a bit of a circle theme going -. But thanks for visiting.

We do not guard our gold. Last night, I was reading through Czesław Miłosz’s last book of poems before his death,. And ran across a poem entitled, “Scientists.” I braced myself, because science and poetry seldom meet, and when they do, science usually comes out of it the worse for wear. I was not disappointed:.
