メンタルヘルスを直訳すると こころの健康 となりますが、では こころの健康 とは何でしょうか。 世界保健機構 ＷＨＯ による 精神保健 の定義では. 精神保健とは、生物学的 biological)、医学的 medical)、教育的 educational)及び社会的 social)な側面から精神健康を促進して、よりよい人間関係を作ることである とされています。 つまり こころの健康 とは、自分自身だけではなく、周囲の人との良好な人間関係などの 環境との相互作用 によって実現され、それによって自分が前向きな気持ちである状態を指すと、Light Ring.では考えています。 しかし、皆さんにもっと知ってほしいことは、 身体だけではなくこころも不健康な状態になる ということ、 それは自分自身だけの問題ではなく良好な人間関係を作ることと関係している ということ、そして 自らの意識や行動によってこころの健康を保つことが出来る ということです。 Light Ring.が取り組んでいるのは 予防 です. 予防を可能にするのは セルフケア と 身近な支え.
