8216;Handmade in England’. I-beam Coffee Table 2. I-beam Coffee Table 2. A 10cm thick slab of English Oak with the bark intact in both sides forms the top of this coffee table. Steel i-beams act as the legs and are polished on the profile edge as a contrast to the rust tones of the steel. The wood has an immense amount of character and is hand-sanded to a smooth finish. The exposed end grain is fascinating to study as the growth rings are highly pronounced and radiate from the centre of the table.

Carving Board - Bespoke, handmade furniture from English Oak

8216;Handmade in England’. This English Oak Carving Board is made from a 5cm thick slab of seasoned English Oak with a striking design of 5cm square routed grooves to assist in juice drainage. A trough has been added in the corner to capture the juices with a useful groove to allow pouring into a suitable vessle once the meat has been carved. The reverse side is suitable for use as a chopping block and as with all our boards, routed grooves on the side allow for ease of handling. Shares her top #Hampstead.

The steel legs have been recessed into the wood creating a smooth transition between the wood and steel. A clear, protective lacquer enhances the contrast between dark carbon deposits and shiny metal. 8216;Handmade in England’. Made from a complete slab of English Oak. The client wanted a slab table as statement piece of furniture for his apartment in an old converted mill in East London. The table was designed to reflect the buildings industrial past whilst being a functional piece of furniture to be used on a daily basis. It would need to withstand the punishment of being the focal point of a bachelor pad yet be a place to sit comfortable at whilst reading the sunday papers. Shares her top #Hampstead.
