A Tree in the Forest. 아마 우리가 자전거에 다시 몰입을 한 것은 한달 남짓이다. 그전에 내가 혼자 있을 때, 자전거로 학교를 오가기도 하고, 또 여기로 이사 온 뒤, 잠깐 타기도 했지만, 아이가 자전거를 타기 전까지는 시들했다. 그러다 지난 달 초, 중고로 나온 자전거를 아이에게 사 주고 난 뒤 세상이 바뀌었다. 처음에는 자전거 타는 것을 꺼리던 아이가 이젠 학교에 갈 때 자전거를 타는 것을 젤로 좋아한다. 비가 오는 날은 실망을 하고. 아무튼 자전거를 타고 가는 아침은 참 상쾌하다. 아이 학교에 이렇게 자전거를 타고 오는 가족이 하나 더 있는데, 이들은 엄마가 북구에서 왔다. 우리를 보면 언제나 반갑게 인사를 하고, 틈만나면 자전거 예찬이다. 세짼가 네째를 최근에 출산하고 특수 자전거(? 덕분에 방학이 시작된 나는 아이를 데려다 주면서 하루에 1-20분은 자전거를 탄다. 건강해지는 것도 아이 덕분. 작은 것들이 조금씩 뭔가를 바꾸는 것이다.
