Very, very tasty! Cooking the heck out of life. Monday, February 22, 2010. 8220;Have you scrubbed the floor deck? very, very tasty!: March 2010
http://veryverytasty.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Very, very tasty! Cooking the heck out of life. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. As I mentioned in my last post. I woke up on Sunday morning with pie prominently on the brain. No rhyme or reason for it- I just wanted pie. Specifically, I wanted to make. I'm such a dreamer. I swore Meyer lemons off. I'd never tasted sweet potato pie before, but it had, from what I could tell, a great reputation. I found an intriguing recipe on epicurious.com. That suggested roasting the potatoes starting in a cold oven and on low...

http://veryverytasty.blogspot.com/2011/12/unsweetened-cocoa-powder-ftw.html
Very, very tasty! Cooking the heck out of life. Thursday, December 1, 2011. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder FTW! I thought about posting this on Facebook. I already told my mom and my wife, and one of my best friends from high school over Gchat. I really want to tell the world, but I think I have a limited qualified audience. I just discovered the life-changing properties of adding unsweetened cocoa powder to my morning coffee. How did it end up with us back in San Francisco? Would she like that instead? I want...

very, very tasty!: January 2012
http://veryverytasty.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Very, very tasty! Cooking the heck out of life. Saturday, January 28, 2012. I got such a kick out of making homemade marshmallows. Earlier this month. Remember how I mentioned that they had been on my culinary bucket list? That was probably part of it- the thrill of checking something off the list and even succeeding at it. (The other part was how wacky they were to make, how delicious they turned out to be, and the crazy blue mold that started growing on them five days later.). This is what the dough lo...

very, very tasty!: December 2014
http://veryverytasty.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Very, very tasty! Cooking the heck out of life. Sunday, December 28, 2014. We have a lot. Of eggnog in the house. Ninety-six ounces per person, in fact. It's fortunate that both B and I love eggnog. It's great in coffee, for example, and pairs well with a variety of liquors a mostly teetotaling homeowner might re-discover in less-used cabinets and the backs of shelves as remnants of parties and former roommates and well-intentioned but never completed dessert recipes. Serves 6 to 7. 3 c all-purpose flour.

Green building, bikes, art, and happiness: Casino friction and poop engineering
http://greenbuildingbikesartandhappiness.blogspot.com/2009/08/casino-friction-and-poop-engineering.html
Green building, bikes, art, and happiness. A blog primarily relaying my first-hand experience with all sorts of things that make me happy, especially green building, bikes, art, and whatnot. Casino friction and poop engineering. Has a good summary article, here. I'm happy with the city's response and that the casino agreed to remove the signs. I'm sure there will be times where it is too crowded to ride safely, and that's ok. We can all get along. Below are two shots of ALCOSAN. View my complete profile.

Penn Ave Shepard Fairey mural update. I rode through downtown on my way to work to see the finished Shepard Fairey mural at Penn Avenue. I couldn't stay to see it complete yesterday, as I was already late to meet Bethany, Silas, and a friend for a hike at Frick Park. Here is a photo of the piece. The Life of Silas.

The Pittsburgh bike community memorialized Rui Hui Lin tonight. He was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver two days ago in Oakland. Today that driver turned himself in, thankfully. We'd all be better because of it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. View my complete profile.
