Thursday, November 1, 2012. Last week, we had a big Halloween party for all the youngsters in our church primary organization. It's the second year in a row I've spearheaded this shindig, so you'd think it would be a piece of cake this time around - except that we combined our primary with another ward's primary and now it's approximately a million times bigger. But that meant that, for the kids, it was a million times more fun! The activities we had were:. A Candy Walk (Like a cake walk, but with candy).

Thursday, October 27, 2011. It was cold, snowy and dark then (at four in the morning on January 27); it's cold, snowy and dark now. But that's about the only thing that's the same! Dot is growing so fast. Sometimes I just want to shrink-wrap her and keep her this size forever, but I guess half the fun is the in seeing her learn and grow and change. Sunday, March 18, 2012. Dorothy is turning into a little rock star. No, not THAT kind of Rock Star. More the geologist. Kind of Rock Star. We're so happy that Spring is here(ish). Even during the winter I would bundle Dot up into a snowsuit and hat and take her on walks whenever we could manage it, but it's so nice to be able to actually linger outside and let her explore a little bit. Thursday, October 18, 2012. The difference a year makes. Here is Dorothy enjoying an easy fall walk to look at the leaves last year. And here she is enjoying a leaf-peeping walk this year. Now that the weather's finally cleared up, we've had some good leaf days. Every year I'm amazed at just how beautiful it gets. It's even better this year, since I have a really great excuse to pick up every cool leaf I see and talk about the colors. And now some obligatory leaf pics from this year! Rain, Rain, Go Away.
