Elin Wägners Lilla Björka. 1925 fick Elin Wägner. De Nios stora pris,. För prispengarna köpte hon en bit hagmark i utkanten av byn Berg, 3 mil norr om Växjö, där morbrodern Alfred Ekedahl var kyrkoherde och nära Tolg, där morfar varit prost. I Berg lät Elin bygga sin ”smålandsstuga”, ritad av arkitekt Carl Bergsten. Huset var först sommarbostad, men blev 1929 permanent bostad och den fasta punkten för en kvinna som ofta var på resande fot för att verka för freden, kvinnosaken och miljön.
