Wednesday's Word #5 - Akimbo. This weeks word is akimbo. Is an adjective. Although adjectives are used to describe nouns, this particular one usually does not come before the noun. Means to have your hands on your hips with your elbows turned outward. It can also mean to have your legs spread apart in a bent position. Here are some examples of the word akimbo. Marnie was so exasperated that she stood in front of us arms akimbo. For reading time, the fourth graders sit in a semi-circle, legs akimbo.

May 28th, 2010. 1 MOCKINGBIRD is being picked up by Scholastic - yay! It'll be out January next year. 2 My flute is in the shop because I haven't played it since I was a teenager. In 2 weeks, I start flute lessons. There. I said it. Now I can't back out. 3 Mother / daughter trip to deep South is in the making . . . maybe Harper Lee's home town? What should we not miss in Alabama and Mizzz-ippi? 4 Finished teaching my first writing class last night. What a great group of adults! Can't wait to start again.

Spam Poetry - funkyducklings. Sep 8th, 2006 10:20 pm. The ducks often do a five minute writing exercise. We go in spurts. Sometimes we'll post a topic daily. Then sometimes we'll each be busy working on different projects, distracted just enough that we forget how much we love to do these. The things we produce are sometimes hideous. But sometimes inspiration strikes. And we've even sold some of these 5 minute writing exercises! The Salmon blames the Tuna. The Tuna blames the Cod. Oh, that's *awesome*!

Plupp var en liten Sigrid. Livet med en bebis. Så här stor är Plupp nu. Ensam natt och semesterbilder. På 09 juli 2009. I natt sov jag själv för första gången sedan Sigrid föddes. Hon åkte med pappa till Kilafors igår förmiddag och hon var så glad och uppspelt. Hon älskar att åka bil (och äventyr) så när de åkte satt hon och tittade på Tommy och skrattade högt.
