Mid-May: no snow, no knitting | Writing from Scotland
https://christinelaennec.co.uk/2015/05/15/mid-may-no-snow-no-knitting
May 15, 2015. Mid-May: no snow, no knitting. On May 15th, ca. 1994, Katharine Stewart wrote: “Today, drawing back the curtains, I looked out at the morning in disbelief. I thought it was a dream. I rubbed my eyes and looked again. It was reality. There was a white garden out there, a spring garden lying under snow, quietly accepting its fate.” (A Garden in the Hills, p. 69). I’m happy to say that we do not have snow today! Cosmos and sweet peas after their first night outside. What have I done instead?

Sarah Loves: Why I pray to Mary
http://www.sarahlcc.com/p/why-i-pray-to-mary.html
Crochet.consignment.cookery.contemplation.creation.cats.color.celebrations. Why I pray to Mary. I am part of the body of Christ. Every part of the body of Christ needs each other. The hand can't say to the foot, "I don't need you.". Every Christian who has died is a part of the body of Christ too. When one of us suffers, we all suffer, when one of us has a need, we all have a need. The living and the dead are all "alive in Christ.". Therefore, we can all pray for each other. However, the church teaches t...

Sarah Loves: Why I am ascending Mt. Carmel
http://www.sarahlcc.com/p/why-i-am.html
Crochet.consignment.cookery.contemplation.creation.cats.color.celebrations. Why I am ascending Mt. Carmel. Ascending Mt. Carmel" is the title of a book written by St. John of the Cross. I have never read the book, but I know about Mt. Carmel. In the Old Testament, Mt. Carmel was the mountain Elijah ascended, and where he heard the still, quiet voice of God. This year marks the 500th centenary of the order's 'Holy Mother' St. Teresa of Jesus. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Spice of Life - Foods of Turkey.

Sarah Loves: Why I am Catholic
http://www.sarahlcc.com/p/why-i-am-catholic.html
Crochet.consignment.cookery.contemplation.creation.cats.color.celebrations. Why I am Catholic. I am Catholic because the Catholic church is either "one, holy, Catholic and apostolic" as she claims, the Anti-Christ, or a delusional group of do-gooders that has somehow managed to perpetuate itself for about two thousand years despite being perpetually mismanaged. I am Catholic because their teachings are not only historical, they are logical. I am Catholic because of the doctrine of transubstantiation.
