Laffy's DM101 Blog: September 2005
http://laffydm101.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 25, 2005. I've decided to drop DM101. These are my reasons for dropping Intro to DMA:. This class. I am not a Digital Media Arts major. At best, this class could only count as an elective for me - but I already have all of the elective credits that I need. I am only taking this class out of the goodness of my heart, and my desire to learn. I do not have any interest in animation. I do not enjoy drawing. DM101 meets at 8:30 am. On Tuesday and Thursday. Darn rain. But it was a fun day.

Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Thus begins this simple blog. Today we watched Sour Death Balls. That was kind of lame. I appreciate all that technology allows us to do cheaply, but I guess I prefer humor with a little more substance, along the lines of the. A shorter version of that might have been good for laughs, but eight minutes or whatever of funny faces was too mundane and lost my interest without any plot pulling me in. The short films demonstrated different takes on making media targeted at the same audience. Threw a neat little curveball. The way it was set up, I thought the girl stole the money and was trying to hide that from her dad. Then, the plot turned and it was a surprise as bought the chocolate for her dad. Short, clever, cute and heartwarming. Boy Who Cried Wolf. Posted by Matty at 4:42 PM.

Sunday, November 27, 2005. The two Web sites offered unique perspectives on the gaming industry. I admit I'm not really into gaming outside of sports games (Long live NCAA Football 2005 and MLB 2005! I've played about 45 minutes of Halo in my life, and I have no urge to play more. However . . . Maybe a better approach is games getting into things like. Lord of the Rings. Tuesday's discussion should be good (:. Posted by Matty at 6:12 PM. Tuesday, November 22, 2005. This might be a stretch to bring this u...

Digital Media Ramblings: December 2005
http://southsider05.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 05, 2005. Peter Vander Meulen Forester Lecture. Vander Meulen's lecture raised plenty of good issues. I really appreciated his "integral mission" idea. That makes sense that social issues should coexist with the evangelical mindset. After all, what's the point in building a house for somebody if they go to Hell anyway because nobody bothered telling them the Good News? Conversely, is the Gospel just there to keep suffering people happy? Completely separate thought on the Micah Challenge ...
