Monday, July 28, 2008. I am very happy to announce that Lily's Friends and Purebred Cat Breed Rescue are joining forces to raise funds to help their programs help animals in need. Patterns for Paws will be a collection of knit and crochet patterns. Each pattern will be made available for purchase online and receipt via PDF download. The profits will be split evenly between the two organizations. Keep your eyes open to this blog for information about buying the patterns and helping the animals.

Monday, January 14, 2008. So what is the purpose of this story? Modern medicine has meant longer lives for humans and for animals. It's not that unusual to hear of a cat living for more than twenty years. It's important for all of us to make arrangements for the care of our pets should we die or become incapacitated. Tuesday, July 15, 2008. I didn't realize that it's been so long since my last post. I wish I could say that it was because I was off on some exotic journey- knitting-related, of course- but I can't. The simple fact of the matter is that things just got busy. I've also been buying lots of fiber. That is 100% merino wool in the Ida's Delusions of Grandeur colorway. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Ewenice T. Bunet died sometime Tuesday early evening. I found her body under the bed. She had not come when I called her for dinner, which was quite unusual. It appears as though she got stuck, though it was her favorite place to nap, so it was not unfamiliar territory. She was only ten months old, and I had her for only four. I feel so guilty.
