Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Three Robotics I students of mine have been working to build mechanisms onto their Mindstorms NXT REMbots. Finally today, the last day of the project, she understood my point and added a row of seven axles across the front. Now when her bot approaches the rocket, even if it's an inch or two off-center in either direction, she has a much. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Lincoln Robotics: Post-game debrief
http://lincolnrobotics.blogspot.com/2009/03/post-game-debrief.html
Wednesday, March 11, 2009. We met today and talked about our bot's design versus the other bots', and here's what we came up with. (If you're unfamiliar with the field, a here's a great picture. Ours had an indirect drive that had the DC motors. Geared down at a 1:3 ratio ( 40 tooth gear. Other bots either used their DC motors to drive wheels directly, or geared them 1:1. A couple geared them down with a 80 tooth. 120 tooth (2:3), which is what the winning team ( Team 121 Rhode Rage. Theirs in many cases...
