http://lindas-life-otos.blogspot.com/2013/11/sunday-sniffles-and-surprise-baskets.html
Linda's Life on the Other Side. Sunday, November 3, 2013. Sunday Sniffles and Surprise Baskets. This morning I woke up and peeked out the bedroom window. Rain. And it was cold. And my nose was clogged on one side. And it was hard to breathe. And so I fluffed my pillow, leaned against it, covered myself tightly with the feather comforter and went back to sleep. I spent all morning watching a show about going to jail,. Complete with the girl in orange chains. And too-small shirt demanding to know the location of her jaguar,. Car or jungle cat I’m not sure. She said she fired her Glock 17 into the air. And didn’t fire it at the same time,. And I thought about how complicated weapons must be getting these days. One spits on the bullet proof glass,. Waits for the saliva to slide onto the door,. Just look up,. Some proof of the inherent disinterest. The tongue runs ...

Not painting the house, or bedrooms,. Or the kitchen that baby-puke avocado. Green to match mother’s fridge. No. We rented a cottage that summer. Along a stretch of grey flat beach. That was muffled in cool salty fog. Every morning. My father painted. The sea every day using 3 tubes of paint. By shifting sand, and he’d paint.

Linda's Life on the Other Side. Sunday, September 22, 2013. I keep wanting to join in on Friday Fragments but never seem to be online on a Friday.
