Sunday, 18 January 2009. But Baby It's Cold Outside. Linda and I were lucky enough to spend Christmas back in Alberta, Linda for 2 weeks and poor old me just. For 10 days. Imagine for a moment the. Cold that you've ever been. now imagine being even colder than that. no. colder. Cold The body wishes to protect the vital organs inside and so it sacrifices the bits furthest away from the heart. Sunday, 15 February 2009. Dashing Through The Snow. Boxing day was glorious! The sun was shining in the beautiful blue sky and the mountains surrounding Lake Louise looked different. Monday, 7 June 2010. Linda and I had a lovely afternoon at Mere Sands Wood yesterday. It's less than two miles from home and one of our regular strolls. Monday, 14 March 2011. We headed for the Hoover Dam as it would only take us an hour, we could keep an eye on the flight via the phone and if we needed to get back to Vegas for any reason we could do so. Hoover Dam was fantastic! The one fact I couldn't quite get my head around is that the concrete, all 2.5 million cubic meters of it, is so thick that despite its age, 75 years, it hasn't yet set completely in some places!
