Do you work from photographs? Yes, I work from jpgs or pngs that people upload to my dropbox or email to me. I prefer receiving multiple high resolution photos when possible, so that I can offer options for composition. It also helps with accuracy and personality. The eyes are clouded over in the photograph. Can you still use it? Can I get more than one animal in a painting? Do you require payment upfront? Do you accept checks? I love all the different colors that are in the darks in the original photo. I attended an event about art as a business, and joined the Mid American Pastel Society (fabulous bunch of artists, including this year's grand prize winner of the national Pastel 100 contest). Wednesday, May 15, 2013. New fuel for my creative fire - Linda Evans Davis. I have been looking at pastel landscapes, notably those by Liz Hayward-Sullivan. And Elaine Lierly Jones. Boy, am I glad I did. I just uploaded the photos to my computer and I'm so excited! I can see the paintings in my head as the images pop into Adobe Lightroom.
